Atlas Finance has been in the South African short-term lending market long enough to have real name recognition. They're not a fly-by-night operation. But does that history translate into a good borrowing experience in 2026? Not entirely.
Let's talk about the rate first. At 35% per annum, it's actually one of the more reasonable rates you'll find in this category. On a R5,000 loan over 30 days, you're looking at roughly R143 in interest, bringing your total repayment to about R5,143 before any initiation or service fees are added. Those fees, regulated under the NCA, will push the real cost higher, so always ask for the total cost of credit before you agree to anything. The 270-day maximum term is a genuine advantage over lenders who cap you at 30 or 90 days. Spreading repayments over longer periods reduces monthly pressure, though you do end up paying more interest overall.
So what do borrowers actually say? Based on the 209 customer reviews we collected, the picture is uneven. The trust score of 5.8 out of 10 tells you that a meaningful number of customers had experiences they weren't happy with. Common themes include delays in processing and communication issues. That's not unusual in short-term lending, but it does stand out when some competitors score noticeably higher.

Atlas Finance – Paid-up loan still reflecting on my credit profile
Good afternoon my name is Mojabeng Nathalia Mkhehlane. I am lodging a formal complaint regarding an account I had with Atlas Finance. I fully settled my loan on 18 February 2026, however the account is still reflecting on my credit profile, which is negatively affecting my credit score and my ability to access credit. In terms of the National Credit Act, credit providers are required to submit accurate and updated information to credit bureaus. Once an account has been settled, the credit provider must ensure that the information held by credit bureaus is updated to reflect that the account is paid up and closed. Atlas Finance’s failure to update my credit profile is inaccurate credit reporting, which is in conflict with the obligations placed on credit providers under the National Credit Act. I therefore request that Atlas Finance immediately update all credit bureaus to reflect that this account has been fully settled and remove the listing from my credit profile without delay. If this matter is not resolved within 24 hours, I will proceed with the following steps: Lodge a formal dispute with the credit bureaus, including TransUnion, Experian, Compuscan, and XDS for incorrect credit reporting. Submit a formal complaint to the National Credit Regulator for failure to comply with obligations set out in the National Credit Act. Provide proof of payment confirming that the account was settled on 18 February 2026. I expect Atlas Finance to urgently correct and update my credit record and confirm once the listing has been removed or updated to reflect that the account is fully paid and closed.

This is the worse place to get a blacklisted loan they have a system where they debit your money and charges the debit order without your approval they are just like ****MERS. They took my money three times in one month for debit order. I requested a settlement letter on the 2nd Feb & I only managed to pay on the 18th Feb due to unforeseen circumstances (I was admitted in Hospital).The settlement offer was R5000 and I paid the R5000.. I have been receiving disturbing messages from Atlas finances alleging that I owe them some money even though they don't indicate how much. I contacted their debt collectors number but what surprised me is that my contact number is registered in someone else's number on their system. I requested them to remove my number from their system but it doesn't look like they did, as I'm still receiving their messages threatening to take legal actions against me. The number is ********** and they are alleging that it shows someone else on their system. Please help 🙏.
Minimum transparency and maximum exploitation
Sales representative at the desk are not transparent about interest rates of the loan. Plus they refused to send a copy of a contract via email or to hand it in person. When I tried to negotiate for longer payment period, she actively pushed for higher payments in fewer months which further keep the person in debt. Instead of helping and taking a profit, they aim to exploit and exploit again. I understand it is my job to read before signing. If the sales Rep avoids certain questions, abd pushes you to sign, that business is shady. Period.
Urgent: Incorrect Credit Listing – Immediate Correction Required
Atlas Finance reloaded a paid up account onto my credit profile as an account in arrears. This has affected my credit scoring and payment behavior negatively and got declined applying for a loan based on one of my accounts in arrears. Only to check my profile, Atlas Finance reloaded the settled account under accounts in arrears. I have a paid up letter and dealt with the Atlas Finance team closing this account after I settled it. But today I'm ignored escalating this matter to be resolved, worse my credit health has a dent already. I'll seek legal action to address this nonsense. This is the email I sent to the person who was involved during the closure of this account on the bureau. ' Good day Roderick, Why have you reloaded a settled account back onto my credit profile as if it is in arrears? This is completely unacceptable. Do you understand the serious consequences this has caused me? Because of your company’s negligence, I have been declined a loan that I urgently needed. This error has directly impacted my financial position and should never have happened in the first place. I expect this to be corrected immediately. Please treat this as urgent and provide written confirmation as soon as the correction has been made. '

They are bunch of ****mers they **** the vulnerable people who don't know anything about finance regulations. On behalf of my husband is called in together with him to settle the account they sent me a settlement offer letter I then accepted the offer and paid it in full ...after they sent me a zero account letter that confirms the account is been settled however the continue sending my account to different debt collectors to say I still owe them when I settled everything on the 3rd of November 2025

If I could rate it minus 10 then I would. I paid my loan off and via Blake associates and finished it the 25th Nov 2025. December came and went then laat week * receive an sms saying I owe them R600 plus. When I asked for a detailed statement, I was charged interest for not paying! Over R600!!! I refuse to pay it as I used the self payment link I was sent. I know t I paid the last amount that I was advised to pay in November. This is something that many people get stuck with and just continue to pay. I will be taking this further as I will not be a slave to Atlas or any other organisation. They will drain your very last.

My payment did not go in December, but January a payment went off. However, not even two weeks, my consultant instructs them to hand over my account. I had a month end loan,bare in mind, meaning that you cannot get a new one if the current loan wasn't paid. So I phone in trying to rectify the matter, however, I get messaged by 2 different law firm companies expecting totals that I never even initially received, so the interested added is 100℅? And apparently I have three unpaid loans, so did I manage to keep getting loans if that was the case? ! Then, I made contact with Atlas and both law firm companies and they could not give me anything in black and white, proving to me how we got to the total which they demand I pay, I have proof of payment for all payments going off except for the December yet a deduction was made in January! I do my part and escalate the matter to be investigated cos right now I don't know who to pay firstly and the totals are beyond what I received with added interest of 60% for what? So after complaining, I received a message regarding the correct details of the company and the amount needed to be paid (the amount was now corrected), a day later, another email reminding me to pay but it's again to the law firm, and then to bank details don't even match with the law firms name... So right now, Im stuck, I reported the matter to NCR as well to the Credit Ombudsman, I'm taking accountability as I hate unpaid debt but what the heck is happening now? I regret dealing with Atlas and would not recommend them to anyone, my consultant also **** via email and couldn't be forth coming, yet she pretends nothing is wrong and doesn't even explain to me that she escalated the matter to lawyers. After the payment went through in January, she emails to say u qualify for a new loan and few hours later was when the lawyers messaged me for the first time, when asking her what's happening, she says the system is offline, but at that time she was unaware that I already knew about the mess up she made, then the next day she says the account is in arrears I leaving no details of where to pay etc, she just says pay in the money quickly and you can get another loan! This is unprofessional, ********* and unfair, best of all, no one can give me a correct answer on what to do! So I'm headed to the branch hoping for a solution! Cos right now it's more frustrating wanting sort this out but you don't know to who and what is going on at this point....
Non compliance to CPA
I took out a loan with atlas finance and after a while I made a payment arrangement with Ashlee that authorised the new debit order payment, however now I am listed as a non-payer that has missed payments although I have been paying my account monthly. This has drastically affected my credit score and not a single person at atlas finance can sort this out. I have sent numerous emails with no response at all. This dates back to last year September already.

I have reported this company for so many times & still cannot get help. My account is paid up but still showing on my credit report. I have sent them proof that they still showing on my report but chose to ignore me. My last option is maybe to take further steps as I’m ignored.

Bad Service
Took a loan put with Atlas Finance 2025. July 2025 they handed me over to a debt collector. I then paid the account in August 2025. I have not known that the account was not updated with the bereaus until now when i searched for work. I need a formal apology or a letter explaining the late update at the beareaus or i will be taking next steps.

I took R400 loan on May 2025 which was once off payment option. they debt their money as per agreement .but till today it show as I didn't pay them under my credit status.i call them,whatsapp them, email them asking for them to clear my name or update it they always promise but nothing change. I ask for my paid up letter so that I can dispute it under my credit report they promise to email it . till today I'm still waiting the only thing they are doing they offer me loans if promise me shoprite voucher if I took loan with them .
Poor customer service
I am sick & tired of this company. Don’t know how many times I reached out to them. I don’t owe Atlas Finance a single cent, my account is paid up but they still appearing on my credit report. This is my last appeal to Atlas Finance to update their records.
Disgusting Cutomer Service
The service is disgraceful! Absolute nonsense & the staff are not efficient at all. The company falsely promises that you receive feedback on your loan within 48 hours. I app**** ( online) on Monday today is Friday and I’m still chasing. You get transferred from one consultant to another non of wich sound like they actually know what they doing. It’s Friday 15:09 as I write this and still promises of calling me back but nothing.
Update my credit profile
This is my third review about the same issue with the same entity. Can Atlas Finance please connect me to someone competent enough to sort out my query. I had an agent called Tebogo assist me with updating my account with the credit bureau, however, Tebogo has gone AWOL, he only responds only when I send a bad review on this platform. Is that how Atlas Finance really work? I paid up my account in August 2025 and received a paid up letter within a couple of days yet it has taken months for them to fix my profile with Experian. Atlas Finance is holding me back from building up my credit profile, credit is currency and I need this matter resolved as a matter of urgency.
Debited Twice
Atlas debited twice in December. No one seems to do anything to rectify the issue. I have tried to email *********** on the 31 December 2025, I have tried calling head office, I went to the branch. They tell me that there are many of us who was debited twice…but why? Atlas, the fact that we came to you for financial assistance it means that we already have financial burdens so why the hell would you debit the indebted person twice(19&31th)? FFS i need that money for rent and essentials. It was budgeted for.

Hello I have been using atlas finance from 2023 and they have been helpful but only this year, am disappointed on them, I took a loan November and as they deduct a bit in December, they did that on the 19th and they unfortunately deducted again on the 23rd, which had left me with no money for Festive season, especially Christmas, until today there is still no refund from them, I have been calling and nagging them, still nothing. I have to explain to my family especially my kids, it's really sad. I don't know what to do anymore. It's almost the last day of the year today, any help?

They don’t want to update my account at the bureau. It was paid up in August and when I reach out the tell me I should update it myself and log a dispute as it would take 30 working days for them to do it. I told them I don’t want to log a dispute as it’s gonna take 20 days with the bureau. I don’t understand why they just won’t update and it’s not the first time I go through this with Atlas.

Refund Request for Duplicate Debit
I am writing to formally escalate an unresolved issue regarding a duplicate debit on my account. While I was on maternity leave, my account was handed over to Blake Atlas, which I understand is the collections department. Upon my return, I made payment arrangements, paid the first installment, and subsequently settled the second installment in full. Despite this, an additional debit order was processed after the account was fully paid. I immediately contacted your team to request a reversal and was advised to process it through the bank. As an employee of the bank, I am aware that such reversals are not possible, and I had already exhausted all available steps before reaching out. I was then asked to provide proof of the deduction, which I submitted promptly. However, I later received a message stating that I had sent it to the wrong department. I clarified that the number was provided by a supervisor. Eventually, I was informed that the matter had been escalated to the Credit Department, but I have not received any feedback, nor was an SLA communicated. I have followed up multiple times, including speaking to a team leader who assured me of a callback, which I am still waiting for. To date, I have neither received the refund nor any confirmation of when it will be processed. I kindly request urgent assistance in resolving this matter. Now they have sent the accont to another debt collectors Russel becker that i have already settled with Shabiri Schaick lawyers . If you’re thinking of taking a loan from them please RUN. I paid up my loan this this company last year and requested for my details to be updated and as a result they needed a paid up letter from me that was never provided to me , one of the workers tried to get this paid up letter for me I’m assuming from another department two weeks ago and till date I have still not received my paid up letter and this has still not been resolved. I have never met a financial institution with such poor customer service and with little to no regard to their customers. I am so unhappy and disappointed at this service.
Unresolved Credit Report Issue with Atlas Even after Escalation
Once again, I rest my case — never borrow money from Atlas or use them in times of need. After losing my job, I fell behind for about 3–4 months, but I later settled the account in full. Yet, my credit report still lists Atlas under ‘adverse’. I have contacted TransUnion and Experian multiple times and received no assistance. I’ve logged several disputes, but my record still hasn’t been cleared.
Settled account
After my initial review, an agent from Atlas phoned me and sent a mail to Experian (which I was copied in) asking for my account to be cleared. However, Experian responded the following day stating that the information sent to them by Tebogo was incorrect. This was 13 days ago, 20 November 2025 and Tebogo is yet to respond that mail. I tried following up with him, to no avail.

I gave up on your staff, they are all useless. I've being waiting for some clever person to update my credit bureau since May. I am still waiting after numerous requests. What to do now. Get a ever manager to call, I feel like nagging someone to do their job.

Poor Customer Service
I don't owe Atlas Finance a cent for 4 months now.. Even when I was still their client, I have never skipped a payment but they appear on my report. This create an impact when I apply for credit. I asked Atlas Finance to attend to the matter & nothing is done yet.
Debt not updated on my credit profiles
Had a loan with Atlas that was later on referred to Debt tec. Have since paid it off, got the settlement letter, but they still haven't updated it on my credit reports (Experian and Transunion). They keep referring me back to Debt Tec, who keeps saying it's updated and it's not.
Waited 2 days for feedback only to get declined because i do inter transfers of money on my banking app
I app**** for a loan with this company. Firstly their website says same day feedback but I waited 2 days to receive feedback. I sent documents and constantly called for feedback. After 2 days of waiting and following up I was told I did not qualify for the loan and my application was declined because I do inter transfers. My account is a Standard bank account which I explained to the consultant and it is a habit that I have to inter transfer , I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY DEBIT ORDERS THAT BOUNCE DUE TO ME TRANSFERRING MONEY , which the consultant said he could see. So I do not do inter transfers to hide from debit orders. Obviously if I am expected to pay for something or if I know I have a debit order , I will leave the required amount in my account. In any case , I was made to wait 2 days , only for them to decline my loan just because I do inter transfers , which is visible on the bank statement and the consultant himself said he could see I had no debits that were bouncing. Thanks for making an individual wait , send documents , follow up constantly , just to decline them for a reason like that. If that was the case , you should have told me at the get go that you did not want to offer me a loan.
Incorrect information on credit bureau
I had an outstanding debt with Atlas Finance which I paid on 27/08/2025 through their collection agency, Debt Tech. I received a paid up letter 2 days later and the agent from Debt Tec assured me that they would have the debt updated with the credit bureau within 30 days. I checked my experian report a month later and the account was still in arrears, I called Debt tec again, the agent I spoke said they had submitted the information to the credit bureau, I should wait for next report for it to clear. Three reports later the account is still showing an outstanding debt which has been settled. May this matter be resolved as a matter of urgency, I need to build up my credit score but this account is holding me back.

But getting nowhere with them coming up with the excuse they take 30 working days to remove it well we now in October 2025 and the 30 days has elapsed 6 months ago I am trying to obtain a property but with this still showing as outstanding it's hindering me and it's not my fault - I have begged and pleaded to remove it I am so upset and angry with them this is not ethical. One was paid on the 17/03/2025 and the second one on 13/05/2025. I now went on Experian to find out my score to my dismay it still shows I owe ATLAS FINANCE once again on one account WHICH IS A BLATANT LIE!!!! Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Service from Yolanda and Branch Manager Tsepang Mdalane
Dear Atlas Finance Management, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the disgusting and unprofessional service I have received from your staff members, Yolanda and the branch manager, Tsepang Mdalane. The manner in which my application was handled has been completely unacceptable. The constant back and forth, lack of communication, and overall attitude displayed were disgraceful. Yolanda, in particular, showed no moral ethics or understanding of basic customer service principles — her behavior was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. What’s even more disappointing is that the branch manager, Tsepang Mdalane, was involved in the process, yet there was still no sense of accountability or professionalism. It’s hard to believe that Atlas Finance allows such behavior to occur under management supervision. It honestly feels as if you’re employing just anyone without proper training or screening. As a customer, I expected respect, competence, and efficiency — none of which were demonstrated. I request that this matter be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action be taken to address the poor service I experienced. I look forward to your written response confirming receipt of this complaint and outlining the steps that will be taken to prevent this from happening again.
Atlas Finance No Common Sense
Absolutely Shocking service from Atlas Finance. I am an existing client with accounts paid up. I have been with the same employer since April 2025. They assisted me last time no issues, was asked to go draw bank statements as they do not accept my online statements. I asked them to use my online statement just to check what I could get. No they would not do that. went to go draw statements at an expense and took it to them. my Salary for August and September was combined as I had to go and help out at another branch still part of the same company. I explained it to them and gave them my payslip indicated I am back at the dealership I was when I app****, but they cant assist because there's no Salary shown for August and September. I can't fathom how rediculious this is. Guys you are chasing away your own business!!!

Failure to Update Credit Record Despite Settlement Proof
This is by far the worst company to borrow money from. I took a loan with them, but after losing my job, I was unable to make payments for a few months. Three months later, I settled the full amount, yet they still haven’t updated my credit bureau status. I’ve sent them the paid-up letter and multiple follow-up emails, but I haven’t received any positive feedback. Their agents often disconnect calls, and my emails to *********** go unanswered. Bad Service
Horrible Service received, when applying for a loan. I did my loan application yesterday with them, gave them my three months bank statement and payslip as they requested. This morning the agen called me to confirm if the money has been, I responded to say no money has been. I then asked which account did he use, he says he according to him he can see that I have two bank accounts with fnb. My thing I sent bank statements with the correct bank account number, why was that not used?? The loan amount his referring not received by myself, now who is responsible to pay the loan when the money was not received??? I was dealing with Moeketsi from Atlas Finance, please help me hello Peter. According to me it's negligence from his end for not updating the system with the correct banking details, he used assumption to pay into the incorrect bank account.
UNFAIR BEHAVIOUR
I am upset because why all of a sudden when I send my temp ID i get told to send license, who says I even drive.Then I get an encounter with agent telling me ID copy ,I provide it to her but suddenly thats not clear enough ,Hence I gave a temp ID .I would have understood if they dont help at all but funny thing is when I previously app**** they appreciated temp and the very same ID copy.I know numerous people they help daily with the same thing so why is a choose WHO i WANT TOO.

Atlas Finance does not want to send my payments to credit bureau for update
Atlas Finance does not want to send my payments to transunion,I made payment in August of R440 and again September R450 but these payments does not reflect on my credit profile, status still says I last paid in 2023.When I contacted them to advise, the manager by the name of Roderick Govender told me that the payments will reflect after 60days due to billing cycle of which is not true I did contact Transunion. This is not the first time my account was handed over but every time I pay DMC sends the payment to credit bureau for update. These people must send my payments to Experian. I am aware that the account will be closed after I paid the full balance,but what Im saying is they must send my payments to experian so they can update them,that will not take 60 days.

I had two loans with Atlas. The loans were all paid up in July.. It has now been 3 months. I was not shocked when i put in an application for a Home Loan and it was declined. I have logged several request and complained as I was assured that the relevant credit bureaus were updated. Only Transunion was updated. I am so disappointed as I had high hopes and now I am stuck in limbo. Can someone high up there deal with this urgently as this is affecting my life and well being. I can't get a car or a house. Really disappointed.. Please rectify ASAP. I am tired of this cat and mouse game.

Atlas suspension
I’m very disappointed in the way Atlas has treat me after being their customer for 2/3 years now. I was recently told I do not qualify for a loan as the company I work for has been suspended from their systems. Regardless of my employer being suspended, I was the one that paid for my loans on time and with no hassles but now I’m left stranded by them. If it was up to me the one start would’ve been no star. I tried calling their head office 3 days in a row on ********** for more than an hour per day and to no avail, their lines are always busy.

The biggest **** in the whole world is Atlas finance. I paid off my atlas finance loan that has been handed over to css solution last year February which was 2024 till to date atlas finance still saying I owe them I requested the paid up letter from css solution again yesterday they sent the letter to me I emailed the letter to Atlas finance so that they can close the account when I call them they did acknowledge that they got my paid up letter but they are unable to help me to close the account they say I should wait for 30 days for the account to be closed the account that I paid it off last year 2024 February.

Dear Atlas Finance. You assisted me in need. Can I humbly ask that you allocate my settlement. How do Atlas Finance screen their managers? I was in Atlas Finance in mamelodi square the other day and I did not like the experience... The manager there is clueless. He speaks to the consultants as if they are his children in his house. Please somebody needs to bring him back to earth because you cannot speak to other adults like that. News flash those consultants are parents too and they are there for a reason, because u are a manager doesn't give u the right to belittle other people. You do not own Atlas Finance, you are also an employee. You should know better. I know a lot of managers that can treat their staff like humans and not dogs. Is it a policy in Atlas Finance that managers should belittle their consultants.. I would like to know so that I can take this to the ombudsman and advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FALSE ADVERTISING
The worst customer service ,I app**** online and I had to reach out to them after two days, Only two be told be patient. If that wasn't enough I sent an email asking them to just give me a direct answer because I am providing my personal documents over and over because they keep asking for it. Eventually I logged onto my profile ,Said declined eventually didn't bother because I assume it was declined. Friday 5 mins before their closing time ,I get a call from a guy Hilton that he needs a confirmation letter ,I should contact him on the no he calls from and provides an email address. I sent everything ,on Saturday morning he then says no he will do confirmation with my manager Monday morning. He never called today ,I called and not a single person seems to get through to anyone in that specific dept at all ,in fact the agent confirmed i approve but they waiting on confirmation of employment. I sent an email to info, Just as useless. Honestly looking at all these reviews and bad experiences, I am glad it didn't go that far .But WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!
Accused of Owing with No Proof – Still Waiting for Answers
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Atlas Finance. They've repeatedly accused me of owing them money when I do not, and have attempted to debit my account multiple times without my consent. Despite several attempts to reach out and request clarity or proof of this alleged debt, I have received no proper response or resolution. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about their practices. I expected better from a financial institution. I’m still awaiting a proper explanation and urgent resolution to this matter.

I had a loan with Atlas finance which was settled last month on the 15th of July 2025 , I requested for my paid up letter which was sent by their consultant from the Dobsonville branch Connie, I asked them to update with the credit bureau since the account is being paid up , they never did that when I call TransUnion for my credit report it's shows that I never paid the atlas account which is paid up. It says I have an outstanding balance of R8000 when I call the branch the consultant who was assisting me said there's nothing she can do as long as I've paid my account I should let this pass. I'm so angry because this affecting my ITC profile. I'm tired of wasting my time with them ,I am going to escalate this matter to the national credit regulators aswell as the Ombudsman.

Holding me Ransom regarding Clearance on Credit Bureaus
I have two accounts with you guys and I managed to settle all of them and they are fully paid up. The problem now is that you guys cannot clear me on Transunion and Experian. When I was owing, you were constantly phoning me 24/7 reminding of my obligation. the account was referred to Concept Recovery. Now the two of you are playing tennis ball and none of you guys wants to take responsibility as to who should submit the clearance to the credit bureaus. Atlas finance the branch in Johannesburg Gauteng is such a bad company to deal its 2 years now they listed me for two accounts 1 does not exist and the other one has been paid for some time now. I have paid atlas account in March 2025 but now in may their account is still reflecting as unpaid on my credit record. I emailed and called them but they keep on tell me that they have a system problem on their side and they can’t do it they will have to do it manually. 3 months later it still shows as unpaid where as I settled my account

I app**** for short-term loan online and never received response. I contacted help desk and consultant checked system after 72hrs and advised that I await an outcome/feedback. I contacted them again after an additional 48hrs to ask for outcome and only was I informed that my application was unsuccessful due to verification documents not uploaded or lost on their system. I need to re-apply. The question is when she checked the system did she not see that the required docs are not uploaded/available and therefore what outcome was I waiting for. My account was paid up on the 3rd of November 2024. Atlas keep on telling me they are sorry they did not send the documents to the Credit Burau. After numerous calls they said they did send the relevant documents to the Credit Burau. Now today the 31st of April 2025 my Credit record still has not been rectified. So I'm back here to leave another review of how ***** Atlas finance is. Yet again they debited my account without my consent using a debit order mandate from last year. The consultant went and amended the debit order mandate, without speaking to me or confirming with me of they can debit my account on the 20th of March 2025. I have asked via email, to provide me with communication were I agreed for this amount to be debited from my account and on that specific date. The debit order mandate that I accepted last year was for an amount I was aware of, now they have *******ly amended the debit order mandate to a different amount without speaking to me. According to my knowledge, when you are going to debit someones account, you speak to them, advise them of the amount, agree on a debit order date, and then I proceed to accept a new Debit order mandate because I am aware of the amount that Will be debited on a date that I gave to the service provider. Now my problem here is I was never informed of this Debit and when I ask the agent by the name of Thandiwe, she simply said it's late interest and it's not a big deal. Well it is a big deal because If the debit orders was legally set up, I would have been aware of it, and I would have given a Debit order date that works for me. I never gave permission for my account to be debited on the 20th of March 2025, so why was my account debited. I want my money refunded and for Atlas finance to do things legally where they inform their clients of any debit orders that will go off their account. If they have any proof that I agreed to this debit order, then they are legally entitled to it. It's been a week now, and no correspondence from them. I want money back that was *******ly debited from me. I need correspondence via email, because I can not receive calls. I have sent emails, I need this resolved by end of business today, it's been too long

I'm happy with the service l got from Atlas finance George branch ,got helped through my rainy days since l didn't have any savings but Atlas finance came to my rescue and l managed to help family back home through their service of cross boarder money transfers . Speaking with the service team helped me get exactly what l was looking for and l appreciate the service l got from the team in George Asanda ,Danny and Talieta ,they were so helpful throughout the whole process and l was more than satisfied with their service and l managed to get the loan within 24hrs
Disappointing service for financial provider
I've been trying to get hold of their debt review department for two weeks but failed, all the numbers I got are not answered the agents are forever busy and the reception is not answered as well. I was told my account is with Debt Tech but they also told me it is not with them. I've never been so frustrated just for a simple settlement letter

I'm not getting any assistance from either atlas finance or their lawyers Bornman Marlow Inc. Atlas keep on telling me they will update my record but they do not do anything. My credit score has been affected so badly with Atlas Finance. Think twice before you use them.

Did an online application on Tuesday. To date I am the one who is running around calling with no assistance and they have unprofessional staff that is not ashamed to drop the call on your ear. I am so disappointed at the level of service I have been received, why make an online application available if your staff is not trained on how to retrieve and process such applications?

Second review after first one was not resolved.I paid my loan on the 23rd of January 2025 it is now the27th of February Atlas has not sent my credit file and my account reflects as new and has now added to my credit utilisation. Review done beginning of the month i was asked by Atlas to remove my review to which i disagreed to as my complaint is not heard and this is killing my credit score. Numerous times i have been asked for a screenshot om report to show that the account is still active and have sent 2 times already. If on the 1st i dont see any change on y report i will Follow up With NCR and National Financial Ombudsman.

Eventually in August I go to the branch in midrand a guy sends an email. I make a payment of R8577.11 as per settlement letter sent to me. In September 26. Until today, this shows on my credit records this payment shows I have never paid them... I can't do anything including finding a job due to this. My reference number was ********** . Im having such a horrible experience with Atlas Finance. The staff is *********** and whatever they feel is right. My salary gets paid on the 27th, and that information is visible on my bank statement as well. Why would you run a debit order for the 21st? I never gave consent for them to debit my account on the 21st because my salary is not paid on that date. so why does Atlas Finance do as they please. It seems to be a trend, reading all the reviews it clearly seems I'm not the only one experiencing such. This lead to my loan not being paid on time, shortly after that I was handed over. I never agreed for a debit order date of the 21st, but now I'm the bad guy. I made a payment agreement for the 27th of this month, but to my surprise they debited my account on the 21st and it was a double debit. I found out when I took my son to the Dr and when I had to pay my card declined, I was surprised because my partner had just transferred funds into my account, only to find that Atlas Finance took my funds. All of this is without my consent. I never agreed to the 21st, so why debit my account? I need answers because it seems your staff at the call center do as they please. They even send WhatsApp messages to clients. Im going to Right yo The ombudsman because it seems the call center staff have no idea on what they're doing. My son could not get treatment and I have to pay the drs bill all because Atlas Finance decided to do as they please.

Atlas finance's system of collecting premiums is horrible. It is either they are double debiting or debiting on a wrong date. Recently I have had hiccups with payments leading to arrangements being made for me to pay on the15th of January and the 31st to be upto date with my payments. I honored the arrangement. Atlas went on to debit making it two payments in one month. As if that was not enough, they handed me over for collections. I have visited a local office about the predicament but the calls and sms from collectors have not stopped. I wouldn't recommend anyone to make business with Atlas finance at this stage.

This is my second review of this business in less than 6 months, I have been receiving numerous Emails from a Company called ITC saying that my Atlas Finance account has been handed over with the amont of R8408.82 the latest communication been 2 days ago. I have gone and communicated with the branch manager on how this can be resolved but all they say is that they do not know of any hand overs as my account on their side is up to date. How is that i owe Over R8000 on this account whilst i am only left with1 installment to complete the loan and have never missed any payments. I am puzzled on how the said business got ahold of my account and why is atlas not taking the matter seriously. I took out a loan on their Elim branch. If they indeed do not know this business then it means that this business does not keep their clients information private. The sad part is that if they cannot get ahold of me they call my work number even those of my colleagues so everyone knows of my debts.
