Hello Peter, Mafori Credit consultants in Pretoria sold me a **** housing subsidy application through a lady called Karabo.She never disclosed all the requirements needed for my application and now I am stuck with without requirements that I cannot find.They are busy deducting R416 rands on my account since from October 2025 buy now I have suspended the last transaction foe end of March 2026 administration fee.They are ****** and I want my admin fee back

Very Disappointed – ********* and Misleading Service

I am extremely disappointed with Mafori Finance and the way they handled my case. I was promised assistance with debt restructuring and was told that their Mafori lawyer would help remove my bad debt. They deducted money directly from the loan amount for these services. However, they never provided any of the assistance they promised. I paid for services that were never rendered. Despite sending multiple emails to complain and request clarity, no one has responded to me. It is very concerning that they ignore customer complaints, yet they have no problem calling me when they want to offer a top-up loan. To make matters worse, they claimed they had written off my university debt. When I informed the consultant that I have never attended university, she abruptly dropped the call on me. This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Mafori Finance to be very careful and to fully understand what you are signing up for.

i would like to take this moment to thank bernadine at Mafori finance, for her prompt response, when i am in need of financial assistance from her institution, she is always willing to go an extra mile and understand the clients frustration when it comes to financial aid, she makes a good asset to the institution and is made of a different fibre, she must be elevated to another level, in terms of salary and position in the institution in order to boost her confidence and to continue making an immense impact in the institution and it's clientele.

Appalling and Pathetic service that lacks empathy and the human element

Appalling service and based on my interactions, the agents dont seem to know their industry or job. I was reffered to Mafori by a colleague and really thought they could help, i was told that they would assist me with removing my debt review flag but was called by an agent who seemed to be an intern and clearly had no knowledge of what she was doing, after a few failed attempts i gave up all together. This was during the course of last year, numerous back and forths and no assistance. I got a call in December and said that the debt review flag was removed and that i qualified for a loan, after immense pressure from an agent i sent through docs, only to be told that i am still on debt review. Is there no internal communication? Are you guys not doing your homework before reaching out to clients? Are we just a number to Mafori or the means to put stats on the board??? Do you understand the type of turmoil you cause in peoples lives with false hope and promises? My suggestion, broaden your talent pool as the staff you have now do not possess the know how or people skills to be doing what they are. I really hope that this is seen by someone in a senior position as i have requested to speak to someone and this never happened.

Extremely Disappointed – No Support Despite Ongoing Deductions

I am deeply disappointed with the service I’ve received from Mafori Finance. Since May 2025, they have been deducting money from my payslip every month, yet they have failed to assist me with removing the judgment that is still pending against my name — which was the entire reason I approached them in the first place. To make matters worse, they continue to send me WhatsApp messages claiming I “qualify for a loan,” completely ignoring the fact that I reached out to them for debt management support, not to take on more credit. This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated. I expected professional guidance and resolution, but instead I’ve received empty promises and ongoing deductions with no results. I do not recommend Mafori Finance to anyone seeking genuine financial help.

I am so disappointed with the poor level of service I've received from mafori finance. I've app**** with them to assist me with removing my name from credit bureau, that was in August still they have not contacted me but they're deducting from my payroll. MAFORI refuses to refund me for December 2024, January 2025 and February 2025. This company handed me over last year to their debt collectors, Triple advanced investments. Yes they still reimplemented my stop order with my company for December 2024 Jan and feb 2025. I picked up after asking TADI for my statement that they debit my bank every month for 300 pm for this account as agreed upon with myself. How can MAFORI hand me over, yet still take money from my salary. I sent them the complaints and emails and their people ‘escalate’ me to the head of collections Tshepo Machonga. He refuses to refund me for the amount of 6000 (2000 for each month). Also refuses to stop the 2000 pm stop order. And then says the best he can do is cancel the 300 pm with TADI going forward. I DID NOT BUDGET FOR THE 6000 for these months and I am left now in a worse of position for this. This guy also then tries to shove product at me and offer me a ‘debt review’ clearance offer. I am posting this out of real frustration and desperation. My company will also find out about this and remove this MAFORI from ‘helping’ staff members who are in financial distress. They cannot hand you over yet still collect, what’s the purpose of handing over? I want my 6000 I will go to the NCR and the financial ombudsman if need be. I’m sick and tired of these credit companies messing people around

Refund not paid as promised.

I spoke to a lady by the name of Abigail on the 10/01/2025, I requested assisted with a debt review. I submitted all my documents and setup a debit order mandate. I have received any documents showing that they will be assisting me. At the end of February the debited me R2000 which was not our agreement. I requested for a refund on monday the 3rd March. Abigail informed it will take up to 3 days. Still no refund. I contacted her on 6th and she ignored me and again on the 7th; She answered her phone after 5 missed calls. She claims that the finance team tried to refund me but it bounced and they make an eft during the course of the day. Its 6pm on the 7th and I have not received my refund. It has come to my attention that Vital Credit, apparently a part of Mafori, opened another loan under my name with a different instalment of R3,728.00 and a loan amount of R55,921.00. I was not notified, nor did I receive any contracts. I seek immediate clarity on who approved and signed for this loan. Both loans are now reflected on my credit bureau, and I have not received assistance from either Mafori or Vital Credit. Furthermore, a representative from Vital Credit, Charlotte, was rude and unhelpful. This matter requires urgent investigation. I need to understand how a credit provider can change an installment and disburse a loan without confirming with or informing me, as a client. Additionally, I need to know how you will rectify my credit score, as this is now affecting me adversely. I find that absurd and disturbing because we approach them as clients who are in need of their expertise.

Two years ago I called Mafori to remove the review and made me pay R3200 and after paying the money they just went quiet and when I called I was given the run around till they told me I need to pay R11 000 to the counselor which I refused and went to another company that successfully removed me from review, what I want is for mafori to pay me back my money as they did not do the hope I paid for. I have been calling it's been almost a year of then saying the legal department will call me back. They are very unprofessional and easy to convince you to take up loans but don't want to pay what they owe you. I am really tired of having to call this people with their unprofessional service. Refun delays

I'm extremely disappointed in Mafori. They have been refunding me since Tuesday. I was promised yesterday that payment was made just after 3pm. I have sent 4 emails since then requesting proof of payment. The 2 ladies dealing with my have failed to send the proof through - which says to me that the payment was not made. Patience and Boitumelo, if you read this, it is not good practice to promise a client payment and refuse to send the proof of payment. What is worse is that 2 months are owed but only 1 month is said to be paid.

Dissatisfaction on the treatment i receive.

I joined the Mafori in 2022, to remove the debt review flag on my name, and I get no update, they keep quiet, and if you do not call you won't know what is happening, Had to finally call in March this year, only to be told my file is parked as I was still owing them, I then made the full payment R3200.00. I still have to continue calling, and no update I get whatsoever, and nothing is happening, sending WhatsApp and getting blue ticked. I am just here not knowing what might be the delay, or hold up. me without wanting to update me on the way forward, me sacrificing my last money to be out of debt, and now this is happening, I'm even thinking of finding people who can assist me because this 4-week thing with Mafori Finance is not working. I called again today leaving a message with about 3 people, and they all say they sending messages to legal offices, whereby they don't even answer phone calls. Yhoo, this is frustrating really. I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from Mafori. I was under debt review, which took them over a year to clear and I still have defaults. App**** 4 home loan which they couldn't offer bcos of the debt review status, but they gave me a loan in order to deduct their fees and said to reapply after 3 months which I did but they still declined a home loan, without even giving me a reason this time. They offered almost the same amount as the 1st loan deducted the balance and gave me around 5k. I can't get help from anywhere with the defaults on my name, it's like I am moving in circles. I even regret going to Mafori bcos they are giving clients false hope while the most important thing to them is to get their fees.

I am really disappointed with the lady named Portia from Legal department At 1st I had to be bugging them when I joined last year for debt review removal which had a judgment and Glenda the agent promised me that it would be all removed. Yes the flag of debt review was removed this year of which I am happy about, but the judgment was not removed. Spoke to Portia and she mentioned an extra amount of 2,5k to be charged. I don't mind being declined all i need understand why should it take such a long time only to be declined. why take a client back and forth unnecessarily so.
