Let's start with the rate. At 35% per annum, Marquis Finance is actually charging less than many short-term lenders in South Africa, where rates can legally go much higher depending on the loan type. On a loan of R5,000 over 90 days at 35% annually, you'd pay roughly R430 in interest, bringing your total repayment to around R5,430 before any initiation or service fees are added. Those fees, if applied, can push the real cost higher, so always ask for the full cost of credit before you sign.

So is it a decent deal on paper? The rate itself, yes. But the rest of the picture is murkier.

The trust score of 3.4 out of 10, based on 186 customer reviews we collected, is the part that should give you pause. That's not a minor dip in satisfaction. It suggests a pattern of complaints, whether that's around communication, unexpected deductions, or the application process. We don't have a website to point you to for more information, which is itself a red flag for transparency.

The flexible loan term is a genuine plus. Being able to borrow for as little as one day or stretch repayments to 180 days gives you options that a standard 30-day payday loan doesn't. And the minimum loan of R500 means you're not forced to borrow more than you actually need.

But ranking 22nd out of 37 lenders we've reviewed puts Marquis Finance in the bottom half of the market. There are better-rated, more transparent lenders offering similar amounts and rates.

Our verdict: if you've exhausted other options and Marquis Finance is what's available to you, the rate won't cripple you. But go in with your eyes open, ask for a full breakdown of every fee before you agree to anything, and know your rights under the NCA.

Shocking Service from Marquis Finance

I closed my account with Marquis Finance in April 2025 and they called me on the 24th of February 2026 and said that I did not pay an instalment for a month as they claimed that I received the wrong amount on my settlement letter. I spoke to the consultant to let them know that the settlement letter was correct with the correct that and they said they will take this up with their manager, it’s the 14th of March 2026 sending countless messages to the consultant and info at Marquis and nobody is helping me after sending countless emails even to the complaints email. This is shocking and unacceptable behaviour from a company, I am beyond shocked that this is how you treat a customer who has closed their account and received paid up letters multiple times. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism from Marquis Finance.

Marquis Finance Shocking Service

Multiple phone calls, multiple emails and even after receiving a notification that a caravans registration papers request has been processed and I will receive the natis in 3-10 days I have got nothing. More phone calls and still no joy. Portia Teffu (natis control consultant) has no idea of customer service, simply does not respond to emails. Easily the worst service from a financial institution I have ever received. Absolutely shocking. How in the world Marquis does business like this is beyond me. Stay away people, stay far away.

Service from Marquis Finance

I have a fehicle financed by Marquis Finance. December 2025 they informed that due to the holidays the will do the debit order earlier and not at the end of the month as usual. We agreed and it happened as discussed. End of January and February 2026 debit orders went through as normal. The second of March 2026 they processed another debit order because according to them there was no payment at the end of December. We send all the bank statrments and proof that it was paid. Apparently they forgot that they made arrangements for the earlier deductions. Almost 2 weeks later they still haven't paid the money back. Ignoring emails and no correspondence from them. They said the money would be paid back within 2 to 3 business days and we are still waiting. When we phone them the excuse is that they still waiting for the reconciliation department to send them the reconciled account. It is pathetic service. Be carefull who you use for fehicle finance. I would surely not recomend them or use them ever again

Original Natis documents never received even after paying for the documents to be delivered

I would like to share my frustration on the terrible service received from Marquis Finance on the delivery of my original natis documents. My vehicle has been pain off and process to acquire my vehicles natis docs has been unpleasant. Up to now I have not received my documentation after being a month of having settled I am worried as these are important documents and should they fall into the wrong hands it places my vehicle in danger of being ****** Please help as I am highly concerned

Complaint Regarding Inconsistent Assistance With Vehicle Finance

Dear Marquis Finance, I would like to formally express my frustration regarding the inconsistent service I recently received when contacting your office about vehicle finance. I currently have an active vehicle finance agreement with Marquis and have always ensured that my account is managed responsibly. Because of this, I contacted your office to enquire about financing another vehicle. During my call, I was informed by the consultant that Marquis cannot assist me directly and that I would need to go through a dealership, who must submit the finance application on my behalf. I explained that the dealership I am working with (Toyota) does not want to use Marquis and prefers to work with the larger banks. I prefer Marquis because the service in general is very good. Unfortunately, the consultant simply responded that there was nothing she could do to assist. What makes this situation even more confusing is that when my husband recently contacted Marquis to request a settlement figure on his account, the consultant assisting him asked whether she could help him arrange finance for a new vehicle. This clearly indicates that Marquis does offer direct assistance for new finance in some cases. Because of this, I am struggling to understand why I was told that Marquis cannot assist me directly and that everything must go through a dealer. As an existing client, I expected clearer information and better assistance. The conflicting information from your staff is frustrating and leaves me uncertain about your policies and processes. I would appreciate clarification on the following: Does Marquis Finance offer vehicle finance directly to existing clients without a dealership application? If so, why was I told this was not possible? If not, why was my husband offered assistance with arranging new finance directly? I would appreciate a clear explanation of your policy and a response to this matter.

From bad to worse.

Customer portal pretty much useless if your customer don't have a profile. I was reluctant to accept finance through Marquis finance again because of previous incompetence and negative experience, I should have gone with my gut. Nothing has changed. Still the same.

Unhappy customer

I have financed the car with Marquis finance now when I want to settle the account they add 30k saying is a fine for settling the account before last day of my contract, so is it fair to be punished for paying off the contract before last day. It means that as customers we are forced to stay paying every month by force until the contract lapse. And settlement means I pay whatever I owe you and you can not charge me extra for closing my account. It is as bad as ****ming customers, moreover you can not get hold of them on call for settlement.

I do not recommend.

Having experienced different Financial institutions as I have several properties and cars financed, I hope to never be forced into using Marquis ever again. I had no choice as they were affiliated to the Car Dealership - Debit order dates was a battle to set correctly - Cross border Letter - not valid and had the border authorities even say that they repeatedly have problems specifically with Marquis Finance. Specifically. They had to call them to allow me to continue on my holiday as the provided letter was not sufficient. - I have been trying to settle my account just be rid of them, and they have, what seems to be, intentionally avoiding assisting me with for over a month... I know that no financial institution wants anyone to settle as they lose out on interest but this feels like they're intentionally not helping me settle. - very poor customer service - I will say their portal has definitely improved in an effort to drive self-service but it is proportionally inverse to their other communication.

Don't Make Use Of Marquis Finance

I have a debit order set up since October 2025 for the 5th of each month. So, my debit order went of every month like it should, and no problems were ever encountered. On 5/02/2026 the debit order goes off as it should with no hassels. On 06/02/2026 @ 13H30 Nation Wide Recoveries contacts me stating I have a outstanding balance for the debit order of 05/02/2026. Now the way I understand the banking ways; the debit order goes off, then the funds with ref nr for that debit order goes to the finance company and they allocate to your account. May take 2-5 days. So Marquis Finance will hand you over to a debt collecting company the following day if the debit order is not in their bank account. Once your account lands on a debt collecting companies desk your good credit score is shot as this is now being recorded as a missed payment even if you didn't miss the payment.

Extremely Poor Service, Ongoing ******** Debits, Zero Accountability

Marquis Finance has been one of the most frustrating companies I have ever had to deal with. My BMW GS 1200 (2018 model) was ****** in October 2025. The insurance company paid out in full, settling the entire outstanding balance on the finance account. The account should have been closed, end of story. However, in January 2026, I discovered that Marquis Finance was still debiting my bank account for thousands of rands, and the account was somehow still active on their system. I contacted them and explained everything. Communication was already painful because they refuse to speak to you properly, everything must go through their so-called “portal”, which is slow, unfriendly, and completely inadequate for resolving real problems. Their explanation was that the insurance settlement was “not allocated correctly” because the insurer didn’t follow their reference number requirements. That may be their internal rule, but it is not my problem... the account was settled in full. I was promised a refund and that the account would be corrected. On 21 January 2026, they refunded only one single debit order. Then in February 2026, they continued debiting my account again, as if nothing had been resolved. This forced me to once again waste over two hours of my time, logging into their terrible system, submitting disputes, uploading documents, and re-explaining a situation that should have been resolved 3 to 4 months ago. Based on this experience, I fully expect March to be exactly the same. This company: 1. Has no real customer service 2. Hides behind a broken portal 3. Makes their internal admin failures the customer’s problem 4. Continues to debit accounts ********ly 5. Shows zero urgency or accountability Marquis Finance is excellent at one thing only: taking money. Everything else — service, systems, support, and communication is shockingly poor. I would strongly caution anyone considering finance through this company. Furthermore...this is the very first time that I felt compelled to go through all the trouble of setting up a hellopeter review for bad service.

Useless service from Marquis

The service at Marquis is just ridiculous. I requested for my banking details to be changed early last year, a simple request that was never processed. I have been having to make direct deposits to them every month which is just an inconvenience. In December they managed to debit from the correct account, however, this month by some mystery they all of a sudden cannot. I called them on Monday to find out what the problem was, they told me my banking details have not been updated and they don’t know why because they have received my bank confirmation letter. The agent promised me that they have update the banking details and that I would get a mandate to my new bank in the next couple of days, tell me why today I’m getting a mandate from the old bank that I no longer use??

Useless app.

The most frustrating and dumbest app ever. Doesn't allow you to log in with the correct credentials and doesn't allow you to find/ recover the username (even though I have the correct details) or recover passwords. All the app does is bounce you arrond in circles to recover the user name and password.Very frustrating app. When you get into the app you can immediately see it's a D grade quality enrty level cheap app. Their app is ****.

So i changed my employer and went online on my Marquis platform and requested for a debit order date change on October 2025. No reply and no help was received from Marquis regarding this. Last week 16 January i get a call from th AA in partnership with Marquis asking me if i would like to extend my maintenance coverage on my car. I said no all i want is to change ny debit oreder date. Only after the lady from the AA sent them an email only the Marquis would start doing something. Numerous emails later and talking to people who doesn't seem to be able to do as i requested. Finally it seems like its been done so 3 months later. Wonder how they would react if had to stop paying them for 3 months.

Poor Customer Care

I logged a query on 10 January 2026 and to date, no one has followed up or called me or at least an email. Whenever I call in I get transferred to the department that MUST assist me, the call ends abruptly as soon as I am transferred. When I raise this with the person assisting they say they will look into it. I would not recommend a person to support them in business as a client. You hit a brick wall when you need assistance and this translates to poor customer care. Honestly would not recommend.

Run away if you want to save your credit score and looking for seemless customer service

Two times in less than 12 months that the debit order doesn't go through and results in arrear accounts affecting my credit score. I called them and had to arrange for EFT payments. They're answer: "we will follow up, we also don't know why because we a re acollection department" You can't even make a lumpsum to reduce your installment. The only option is to make a lumpsum to reduce credit term Also they hang up in the middle of the call unexpectedly. I urge you to run and look for mainstream banks for financing your vehicle.

I am honestly exhausted from having to run to HelloPeter just to get basic issues resolved. I have been struggling for months to get my account corrected after a payment was made. I was repeatedly advised by your agents that the payment was not received, despite me sending bank statement after bank statement over and over again. After months of back and forth, the issue was suddenly “found” and corrected only after I posted on HelloPeter. You then confirmed that the payment was in fact made back in January. What I cannot understand is this: once you saw that the payment was made, why was it not automatically corrected at the credit bureau as well? It has now been 3 months since the payment was corrected internally, and my credit profile is still not fixed. Over the past few weeks I have contacted your agents multiple times. I am constantly told that someone will email me with what is needed — and then nothing happens. No feedback, no follow-up, no ownership. My credit score has been severely affected because of this, and it honestly feels like you just don’t care. I have already been asked to send screenshots of my credit report — which I have done — yet I am still being asked for the same information again and again. This is unacceptable service. Customers should not have to publicly complain to get basic corrections done. The lack of accountability and urgency is extremely disappointing. You can’t get hold of you as a business, your agents are always busy. You quick to call when payments are late! Marquis finance doesn’t help you at all nor are you transparent! I have emailed to dispute my valuation and given a 10day period where I could dispute I have done that , and was said you will respond to me with in4days it’s been a over a week now that I haven’t received anything. Marquis Finance has the worst communication. There is no specific person to whom complaints or issues can be directed. Right now, I need them to correct an arrears error on my account. I always pay extra, yet they claim I owe R700 when, in fact, I have an advance of R600. This kind of inaccuracy will negatively affect my credit score.

What a frustration dealing with these people. I mailed them more than a week ago to change a debit order with no response whatsoever. Tried calling after having to get a nr from the FNI at a dealer due to no valid nr being available for them online, then after being on hold for 2 instances of 30min+ I got cut off and they refuse to assist me. The lady by the name of Thami thinks I'm stupid and I'm an idiot, called the customer center because I requested a document last week and the gentleman that helped advised that I would receive the document with 24 hours and the 24 hours has passed I haven't received the document hence I called. She said she will provide me with the email address where I should request the document and I asked her why I was advised that I would receive it with 24 hours and her answer was I don't, she kept on saying let me provide you with the email address and she doesn't mind waiting even when I kept on asking her to send me an email with the email address, I then asked her if she could send a text and she said she doesn't has the facility to send a text and I asked her she doesn't have the facility to send an email, her response was condescending that she didn't say that I said it and when I told her to stop insulting my intelligence she went quiet on me and didn't answer me, mind you I'm the one who called she didn't if I used airtime to call. Guys life is very stressful without a company not doing their own job and then stressing you. You have once again failed to collect my debit order on the correct date, so I had to pay you manually. Then yesterday when I made funds available to pay for my child’s school fees and my medical aid you debit. Does your system not recognise manual payments and debit orders? You do as you please? Good day Please assist with sorting my account out, in October I wrote a review and I was assisted so quickly after months of struggle,break down my story , I lost my job this year early this year after buying my car there were months I'd pay and some I'd skip,due to stress and everything I got sick and I was in and out of hospital I spoke to this other friendly lady that assisted me with my account and I made an arrangement of the outstanding 15000 however I paid only 1000 because I was admitted in hospital and I couldn't work as I would do deliveries with the car and get abit of something on a weekly basis so for that month I got 1000 and I paid it however I had told that lady that I would like for the to put the outstanding 15k at the end of my contract as I was about to be reinstated at work and I will be able to make my monthly installment, I've made the payments twice and now I'm told I must return the car or pay the whole amount, as I have said before I cannot surrender the car however I would like the outstanding to be put at the end of my contract or they should rather give a solution on how we can go about it,I'm willing to pay as I have been re instated but I cannot pay it all at once.

For almost 2 weeks I have been trying to access the customer portal but despite numerous PIN numbers sent to my phone I could not access the customer portal. When requesting that they contact me (on their website) I get more instructions and no amount of replies and stating the nature of my concerns seem to be read. I get just more standard / auto generated replies. Apparently there is no person working at this company whom I could speak to! Extremely Poor Customer Service – Complaint Ignored for Two Weeks

I submitted a formal complaint regarding my car finance agreement almost two weeks ago, and to date, I have received no response. I have called multiple times, only to be transferred from one department to another without any resolution. A consultant promised she would call me back but to no avail. This lack of accountability and communication is unacceptable for a financial institution. Customers deserve timely responses and clear guidance, especially on matters involving finance agreements. They are quick to debit at the end of the month but when you need assistance they are very queit! I am extremely disappointed and will reconsider using this bank for any future services.

Extremely bad accounting and client services

I paid an extra amount of R2000 to have an advanced amount on my account. That amount does not show on my statement. I then paid R10 000. It shows that I'm in advanced with R10 000 but due amount is R6119 after i got an email that says my account is up to date and in advanced. This people don't know anything about accounting. Their response to their clients are poor and tardy. My previous car was financed via Absa, they will reduct from your advanced amount if you can not make payment. These people don't accomodate you in such situations. Avoid signing a contract with this company.

Account arrears issue thats not being resolved after month of escalating issue

It has been months of escalating an issue of an arrears on my account that is not my fault, i can provide proof of payment for every month. Marquis said they fixed the problem. I even phoned and they tell me the account does not have an arrears BUT the statement i receive still shows an arrears and i get multiple emails telling me there is an arrears. SO HOW DO I FIX THIS. I would like to write a review about Marquis Finance. Months ago I lost my job and I have informed Marquis about it. And I also informed them that I would pay money on my car as soon as I received money owing to me by the company I worked for. Which I've done. Impossible to Reach Marquis Finance

I’ve been struggling to get in touch with Marquis Finance and it’s been extremely frustrating. I’ve sent an email, submitted an online query, and tried calling twice, but no one ever responds. I even tried using the live chat on their website, but the agent left the conversation twice without even starting the chat. It’s honestly impossible to speak to someone or get any form of feedback. This lack of communication is very disappointing and unprofessional, especially for a finance company where customer support is so important. I really hope someone from Marquis Finance sees this and reaches out to resolve my issue as soon as possible.

They quick to steel my money but useless and *********** to pay me back

The ****** a double debit my account 1 November, I log a query on the web portal the same day. I called them on Monday 3 November to find why they did 2 debit's on the same day few hours apart, the lady told me to send them an email with my bank statement as proof and to request a refund. The same day around 1pm a guy from Marquis called me to say that they have noticed that my account was debited twice and apologize for the inconvenience they are investigating what went wrong with their debit run and said the will refund the second debit back into my account. I asked him how long the refund will take and he said it depends on who i bank with, told him i am with STD bank and he rep**** no then it will be immediately as they also with Std bank. 4 November I send a follow up email because no refund was received and log another query on the customer portal. Noticed one of my other debit orders have bounced back because of insufficient fund in my account. 5 Novermber still no refund received, this morning I called them again asking when the refund will be made, yet again a different person saying he will have a look, then been put on hold for over 6 minutes, then comes back to tell me yes, they see that I was debited twice ***...that I know. He has escalated it to management, and they will get back to me before end of business today which I Highly doubt will happen.

Worst Financing house available

I requested a change of banking details more than 1 year ago, I still pay the amount owed by myself every month. My debit order is supposed to go off on the 1st of every month. I make payment between the 26th and 28th. Marquis Finance decided to charge my account with R250 in arrears for making payment earlier than debit date (reminder they don't debit the account at all). I will honestly never ever use Marquis Finance again, Customer service is really useless. I spend at least 20 min waiting for their account department to pick up the call. i have phoned them about this, logged this multiple times but no changes made whatsoever. Living in 2025 I really thought the level of service would be a bit more professional.

This is the worst finance provider i have ever worked with. I have had a perfect credid score before I was financed by Marquis. it happened over the December month when they wanted to deduct the monthly instalment earlier than the contract date, I rep**** to the email requesting the early payment that I turned down via email saying that I want to keep to the finance contract. the payment went off early so i had it reversed. I paid the instalment on the payment due date. only to find out that they have reported this as a non payment although I was a few payment ahead. to this day that still remains on my credit record. when I paid off my vehicle I struggled to get the natis papers from them. I will not sugest Marquis Finance to anyone. I for one will never use them ever again.

Marquis Finance - STAY AWAY!

Stay away! Really useless with their account management. My one vehicle was in an accident in November 2024. It was written off by my insurer. There was a settlement quote issued by Marquis, valid till 15/11/2024. My insurer settled the vehicle on 14/11/2024. End November 2024 a debit order went through to Marquis. I questioned this and they said they did not receive the settlement. My Insurer - Absa Insure got involved and Marquis refunded me in. January 2025. From there, I receive collection calls, mails NON STOP! Saying that I owe them money and have to "keep to my agreement". THERE IS NO AGREEMENT, THERE IS NO MONEY OWED!!! With every call, they say their supervisor will look into it, but they never do! If you value your healthy heart, AVOID this useless company!

Outstanding Service from Kgotso

There’s a lady by the name of Kgotso who truly deserves recognition! She once helped me with a border letter and was so kind and patient Recently, I struggled to get my Natis and had called many times before, always being told it would be delivered. When I spoke to Kgotso, she immediately contacted the courier and found out they had the wrong contact number. Thanks to her, I got my Natis the very next day! Manquis finance has my account as in arrears. They cannot tell me where this arrears are coming from. After months they told me its a December payment that was missed. I have sent proof of payment for all months that i am with them but they always tell me the issue is escalated. No feedback no progress justs calls every moth telling me im in arrears and now they want no add an amount to my monthly payment. And every time i phone the person can only escalate the issue. Legal Action Against Me

On 17 November 2025 I was sold a car by iCar Gezina, unfortunately the car was hijacked on the 6th of December 2025. Upon the unfortunate incident, only a case of kidnaping was opened and a case number for the car could not be generated as the car was already a a ****** asset, flagged. Insurance denied the claims and another discovery was the car was involved in a car accident, another material fact that was not disclosed by the dealership. 7 months later after this ordeal the dealership mentioned that the S-Flag had been removed from the vehicle, this was after the failed case number and the denied insurance claims. During this I was contacted by Debt Collectors, I stated my case it was during this I was I was introduced to MIOSA. It was ongoing until this year, 11 July 2025 when MIOSA considered the case closed, however it was even mentioned that the dealership is still waiting for confirmation of upliftment from SAPS to this day. Then came another unfortunate convenience that during this time when I had just learned that MIOSA could not assist me, I got a court order. Marquis says the S-Mark was removed prior to their submission of the agreement for litigation and advised that I liaise with their attorneys for guidance, the S-Mark was according to MIOSA removed 7 months after the whole ordeal of no case being registered, insurance denied claims. I then tried to put myself under debt review program which would assist me in paying the arrears amounts which was rejected because legal action against me was taken. I tried to make arrangements with the Marquis Finance attorneys who then told me they have stopped legal action and my account is with legal, the same legal redirected me back to their attorneys, then the same Findlay attorneys confirmed that the stopped the mater and I would need to make arrangements with the Marquis Finance legal. But I was never contacted, I was never given a chance to negotiate the payment plans. For the past two years my credit has taken a knock and no solution has been reached as I was willing to make these arrangements even though the legal actions against me seem to strongarm me into paying for a car I do not even have, that was already ****** before it was ******. A car which even the car track could not locate and assist and denied by insurance. I even reached out to the first Debt Counsellor to reach out for me so I can be contacted by Marquis, because I only got a response from their second attorneys who mentioned that my correspondence was indeed sent to their clients as they're not part of the case anymore. I even made a payment to the account and I was still not contacted. I am expected to go above and beyond for an asset I do not have, that up this day I have not received any assistance with except now I am subject to legal action even though I still seek to make arrangements with the party that financed this car.

REFUND NOT RECEIVED

I made an EFT payment on the 12th of September and on the 15th debit went out. I submitted a refund request on 16th and also sent through pop for the EFT payment. I called last week Thursday and was told it's waiting for authorisation and should be in on Friday. On Saturday at 9pm I received my monthly statement and funny enough it only showed the 15th debit and not the EFT payment (though the funds were showing on the portal under advanced). Now on Monday I called and was told again it should reflect on Monday or Tuesday the latest as it was processed on Friday. Today I called and was told that the refund was done and I should have received it by now. An escalation was done to request for the pop from the refund department. Guess what, the pop sent by the department dates **********0, which was previous refund. The person who forwarded that pop, did not cc the individuals who were part of the escalation and they also removed the signature details from the email. All I want is my refund.

One of the WORST Financial credit providers I’ve come across, I surrendered my vehicle voluntarily after they chose to decline a bid to buy from an another company saying they’ll get more on auction! What happened at auction? They got so much less!!! Now they expect me to pay the shortfall back to them on the original contract installment when I got the car. After buying a vehicle through Marquis Finance in March 2025, My mother-in-law has been struggling for 5 months to rectify issues regarding her account. After changing her banking details, they continued to deduct off the wrong bank account. We tried changing the bank account again after threatening to contact the ombudsman. At last we saw light when they sent an email confirming that the banking details have been updated and the next debit order will be deducted 1 August. Despite multiple written requests and clear instructions to cease using my personal information for marketing purposes, Marquis Finance has continued to share my contact details with third parties—most notably, their so-called insurance partner, AA Money. I have been contacted numerous times, including after receiving written confirmation from their office on 14 July 2025 that such contact would stop. On 01 August 2025, I received yet another unsolicited call attempting to market insurance to me—demonstrating either a complete failure of internal controls or a blatant disregard for my right to privacy. This ongoing harassment violates the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and breaches every assurance they’ve previously provided in writing. When I raised this matter, Marquis Finance attempted to pacify me with a voucher—an insulting gesture that ignored the core issue: ******** use of my personal data and disrespect for customer autonomy. No genuine attempt was made to resolve the complaint or to accept responsibility. Instead, the matter was mischaracterised as a payment issue, which it most certainly is not. Out of sheer necessity, I have now: Terminated my debit order with Marquis Finance; Requested SAPS to open a case for the ******** processing and misuse of personal data; Demanded the collection of the financed asset, and Warned Marquis Finance that should collection not occur within 30 days, I will begin charging reasonable storage fees. To date, no executive from Marquis Finance has reached out directly—further underlining their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care. The firm appears more interested in silencing complaints than resolving them. Consumers deserve to know: If you are considering doing business with Marquis Finance, be aware that your personal information may not be secure, and your complaints may be ignored or deflected rather than addressed. I am writing to warn others about the absolute disaster that is Marquis Finance. Since June 3rd, I've been trying to get them to update my banking details, and it's been a never-ending nightmare. Despite countless calls and emails (sent every week or twice a week!), I've received ZERO help. Their customer service is non-existent. Sometimes, you can't even get through to anyone, and when you do, you're met with unhelpful responses. Emails are ignored, and it feels like they're intentionally avoiding resolving my issue. It's now July 24th, and I'm still waiting for assistance. This incompetence is affecting my credit score, and I'm at my wit's end. The lack of support and follow-through is appalling. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT work with Marquis Finance. They are the WORST company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their customer service is abysmal, and they clearly don't care about their clients. Save yourself the frustration and find a different company. Marquis Finance is a complete waste of time and energy. UPDATE: I'll continue to post updates on this review until my issue is resolved, but I'm not holding my breath. Avoid Marquis Finance at all costs!

Never ever use Marquis Finance

I have financed my vehicle with Marquis finance in March 2024, unfortunately I had to sell it again. After giving the required notice period Marquis Finance refused to lift my early settlement penalty. After a few days of fighting and reviewing them here in Hello Peter the said ok they will cancel the early termination fee. The car was fully setlled in November 2024 and Natis documents released to the new owner. February 2025 they deducted and installment from my account. I called them complaining then they said they see on the system my acc is fully settled. I then called my bank and reversed the debit order. Every month after that I get a notification stating I have to prepare for the next debit order and now July 2025 I get a letter of demand stating I owe them R121.77. So they are going to blacklist me if I dont pay the R121.77. I dont mind I will pay then R200 just close my freaking acc, delete it it has been fully settled November 2024 Marquis Finance has no clue what is happening in their finance department. Never in my life will I make use of this pathetic company ever again.

Getting a swift response is really a hustle. Requested a copy of natis with updated registration and it took them more than 3 months to give me a copy, mind you I paid an amount they said I should pay but from most consultant I could hear they have no idea as what to do. Debit order went through on a date I have never asked for, with no other arrangement and getting a refund for that became a problem as well. Was told that I wiĺl receive refund either on thursday/friday and there was none received by monday and when making a follow up then another consultant said there is no update from finance side.

No Response on emails and calls

Marquis Finance I’m really struggling to get them on the line when I call they transfer me to other departments and those departments say it’s not them dealing with my query I have sent emails countless of them and done follow ups nothing. I have been with them for 1year and 3 months but reaching them is always a struggle and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I sent an email regarding payment break due to mechanical issues on the vehicle that is financed by them which has been having milking me dry on repairs even though it has been serviced with intervals and driven less then 30 000

Banking details

I have been battling with them to change my banking details for almost three months now. They do not respond to emails. I have given up and called my bank to block them from debiting the initial account because I am charged a R100 for every returned debit order. Horrible, horrible service. Awul service from Marquis finance

I purchased a vechile through Marquis finance in April last year - I asked to be debited on the 25th of each month - my account was debited at the end of the month and then not at all i have sent countless emails - to no avail i made manual payments eventhough i accepted the debi check mandate with my bank i get debited on the wrong days after making the payment and now i receive an email saying i am in arrears and i have spent hours on the phone trying too resolve the query and its affecting my credit score - I am in the process of securing home finance.

Unfulfilled Obligations

I’ve been paying for a vehicle financed through Marquis Finance since January 2025, and six months later, I still have no licence disc, no number plates, and a long list of unresolved defects that were reported immediately after delivery. The dealership (Evolve Motors) has since shut down, and despite my endless calls and emails, Marquis Finance has done nothing meaningful to resolve the situation. The vehicle was even collected on 25 April for a roadworthy and registration… yet still, no feedback, no documents, no repairs. I am driving an unlicensed, unroadworthy vehicle, can’t secure comprehensive insurance, and I am expected to keep paying while they dodge responsibility. Refund Still Not Paid After Vehicle Settled – No Response from Marquis Finance

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and follow-through from Marquis Finance. On 01 June 2025, a premium was deducted from my account — despite the fact that my vehicle had already been fully paid off. I understand that the deduction may have occurred due to timing issues with cancelling the debit order, but I was assured that the refund would be processed within 12 working days. To date, I have received no refund. The only reference to it appears vaguely in a settlement letter — no actual payment has been made, and no formal communication has followed. I contacted the call center on 30 June and was told the matter had been escalated and that I would receive an email. That email never came. This is unacceptable. Marquis Finance has now exceeded the six-week period allowed for resolving such matters under the FAIS Act. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the FAIS Ombud and, if necessary, the FSCA. I urge others to be cautious and to monitor their accounts closely after final settlement. A financial institution should not go silent when it owes a client money. If anyone else has experienced similar delays, I encourage you to speak up — we deserve better service and transparency.

We bought a car with Marquise Finance 09 February 2024 and is not balloon payment but on February 2025, they changed the instalment amount without notification then it bounced. Then they complain that we did not pay February 2025.Another problem in May 2025 we asked for settlement amount they gave us R158654.00. This can not be right because when we buy the car it was R146900. and we signed the agreement with Marquis Finance to pay R168602.50.We paid the car R3600.00 for 14 months which came to R57600.00.Now if you minus that from R168602.50 its giving us R111002.50.So they insist on R158654.00.When we ask for their address they saying because we wanted to come their offices .Everyone of their agents says its in Bryanstan when we ask were in Bryanston they don't know.

Useless service

So I called Marquis finance 4 time within the week, To ask them if there is a possibility for a payment holiday or if they could restructure my installment, unfortunately because i need to also help out my family that unfortunately lost their job. They said they will forward my call to the next available person that can help me. Unfortunately 15 - 20 minutes in with every call i made nothing happened. I have been a customer of Marquis Financial Services since 2022, when I financed my Mercedes Benz through them. Up until recently, I have consistently paid my monthly HP installment on time and in full. Unfortunately, due to recent financial strain and several unforeseen expenses over the past two months, I was unable to make one installment payment. I reached out to Marquis Financial Services to request a 3-month grace period, with the intention of catching up once I have resolved my short-term financial difficulties. I am still employed and fully committed to settling my outstanding balance—currently R158,000—on the vehicle. However, despite my clean payment history and genuine request for temporary relief, Marquis refused to assist in any way or propose any form of alternative solution. Instead, I was advised to either downscale to a lower-value vehicle or return the car. This approach has left me extremely disappointed, as it suggests that repossession is being prioritised over client support. In a time when a bit of understanding and flexibility would go a long way, Marquis chose to be inflexible and unhelpful. Given this experience, I would not recommend Marquis Financial Services, and I will not consider using their services again in the future.

Extremely Poor Service from Marquis Finance – Unauthorised Deduction and No Feedback

I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Marquis Finance. They deducted an amount from my account that they were not supposed to, and up to this day, they have failed to give any proper explanation regarding the deduction or what the so-called arrears are for. I have called multiple times over the past month, and every time I’m told that the matter has been “escalated.” Despite these promises, there has been no feedback, no return calls, and no resolution. It is frustrating and unprofessional to be kept in the dark while my money is taken without consent or clarity. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially from a company that deals with vehicle finance. I would not recommend Marquis Finance to anyone. I tried to get in contact by calling, eventually after the 5th time i got an answer but the person could not help me. I told him that the debit order is set to go off on the 21st but that is the day I get paid, it is not to day the money will be in that day, and I am not going to stand for bank charges for not enough funds for when they want to deduct it, I would like to have it go of the 22nd (when I usually see the money in my bank), he continued to say the same thing that the company has policy and it cannot be changed - although I did input that I would like it to go off the 1st when I completed the document. Amanda who was assisting with allocating and advance payment went MIA. she was supposed to send us an email with an option to reduce the installment or the term, did she allow us the choice? LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AT MARQUIS FINANCE- A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

I had an advance payment of R22 000 which appeared on my statement each month. I wanted to pay in extra each month until I had enough for my balloon payment, but I got a call from their admin department and was told that they do not allow extra payments. This was a shock as its the first time I came across a finance institute who does not allow this but I stopped. Then on my November 24 statement, I noticed my advance payment was reduced by an amount. I called in and they told me they will look into it. In December I never received my statement and called again to find out what is happening with my advance payment as there was no extra deduction allocated on my account. I spoke to a Mpo and she said she was going to escalate my complaint. I received my January 25 statement and my advance payment showed a nil balance. I wrote to the complaints department requesting what is happening and they responded to say that the money was used for my repayments. I rep**** by asking how that was possible as the debit orders went off my account, and I received no reply. I wrote to the NFOSA requesting for help as there was *****ulent activity on my account and Marquis Finance was showing a blind eye. The NFOSA responded that they could not help and advised I request assistance with the NCR. I am waiting on their assistance but if they cant assist then I will seek legal assistance. I cannot believe that a finance company can do such things and I certainly won't recommend them to anyone!!

This is truly the worst experience of my life with a bank, I financed a car with them in Aug 2024 all was fine, I changed banks in Oct 2025 and requested them to update their system, This did not happen, so my debit order went of my old account no issues, In Nov I requested again change the debit order account they said they did, the debit order did not go off, I did eft afterward as my old account was closed, This was apparently due to system errors, for months this happened This carried on until early this year 2025 I changed the account to cash and did monthly eft's In May 2025 this year I paid my eft and suddenly they took the debit order as well, When I phoned they never changed the account to cash it was just their system never working and now noly they finally sorted out the problem, Now I am trying to get my refund they tell me they reversed the debit order but the money never reversed, they even send me a statement with the double amount on it, but will not process my refund I wanted to speak to an supervisor for months no recalls, no feedback ever on my account not even my refund, I need to phone them, so just no customer service at all, I did not want to post this review as I am not this type of person but I am just not getting any ware with this bank, So hopefully Marquis finance will read this and then respond to me .

Marquis Financed my first car. They would deduct double some months on payments and ski other months. To contact them was a horror because you wait for ever for the hone call to be answered and then gets transferred from person to person. My car was written off and my insurance payed Marquis finance in full in order for me to buy a new car. I chose MFC for financing. It is flawless. Recently I app**** for a home loan just to find out Marquis finance blacklisted me for R400. All money owed was already payed in order to buy another car. It even took my insurance more than a month to get a payed up letter from Marquis finance. A one star review is even too good for the experience I had with them. If I could I would give them -1star

Probably the worst vehicle finance institution I have regretfully encountered business with. I have struggled for two months to get the car sold, only for them to state that they wanted more from the institution that wanted to buy the car. Absolutely Unacceptable – Damaged My Credit Profile

I would give zero stars if I could. Since joining Marquis Finance, they’ve repeatedly messed up my debit order date. Despite my paying manually when they debited on the wrong date and it bounced, they still logged a missed payment with the credit bureau, dropping my credit score by 17 points! And it still hasn't been resolved because the person I am dealing with doesn't understand anything I am saying. I have now had to explain the same thing to ten equally oblivious people. To make it worse, they recorded my manual payment as the next month’s instalment, not the one I actually paid for. And now, here we are in June and they haven’t even debited me at all. This is more than just bad service – they are actively damaging people’s credit profiles due to their incompetence. Be very careful if you value your credit score.

On 08 April 2025 I've requested Marquis Finance to change my debit bank account. I've attached all documents and got confirmation via email that it was updated. However on 2 May 2025 my debit order went off from the wrong account, I immediately informed Marquis Finance and got an confirmation email that the error is on their side and has been rectified. I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Marquid Finance regarding a simple request to change my debit order banking details. On 19 May, I sent an email requesting a change of debit order details. I included all necessary information: It took 9 days before I received any response, which is completely unacceptable. I was then asked to provide a bank confirmation letter. I responded immediately with the requested bank confirmation letter. Despite my timely submission, month-end came and the debit order was still processed from the old account. I have been sending multiple follow-up emails, but no one has responded. Double Debit.

I was double debited by Marquis Finance for month of April. After seeing the matter not resolved, I reversed one of the two debit orders. I got a call the next day which I explained over the phone and email that I was debited twice hence I reversed one. I sent statements from the bank supporting my enquiry. I was told they would investigate and get back to me, which they did not do. I follows up and was told they can only see one debit order. Which doesn’t make sense because the bank confirms that the money went through to them. They still insist I did not make a payment: this is ******* and no one seems to care or have an explanation. I have been sure never to miss a debit order and now these ****** want to damage my credit record when I did pay.

No response on refund

I have sent 2 emails tried to call and started conversations with the online help, and not one response from them. They double debited me this month, I normally transfer which I’ve done for the past 2 months, then this month I transfer and they debit order me. I want a refund, all my other debit orders are now going to bounce because of this.

Very poor customer service

Very bad customer service. For some unknown reason they have cancelled the Debi check mandate for my account 2 months in a row. The first time I actually received an email response from *****ba Khumallo who said that it was done in error due to a system issue and that a new mandate would be sent. I received this and accepted it and thought everything would be in order. Then, 2 days before my next payment I receive another notification from my bank letting me know that the Debi check mandate had been cancelled again. I've tried to email them again but I have received no answer. At the beginning of the finance agreement they also set the payment date for the wrong date which I have been trying to have corrected for 3 months to no success. All I get are emails from someone named Ilham that don't make any sense. It's like they don't read your e-mails at all. I have also sent messages for assistance on their customer service portal and received no responses. Overall, extremely poor service and I'm very sorry I went with them for the finance of my vehicle. I was previously with Wesbank for 6 years and never had a single problem. Now I'm only 3 months in and I've had nothing but problems...

Dishonesty in a Settlement Amount

We have been attempting to secure a settlement figure from Marquis Finance for a car registered on my husbands name but I was the primary driver on and paid deposits, etc. We received a Settlement letter but this letter is just the outstanding balance on the account. We are settling 3 years early and the deal was under R250,000 which according to the NCA does not accrue penalties for early settlement and interest should only be charged for the period of the agreement having been in place. We have spoken to no less than 5 people in the last week original letter was secured on: 26th March 2025. They do not understand the term pro-rata interest and the recalculation of the settlement making use of this principle. By law, we can not be held liable for interest for the full period of the agreement if we are settling 3 years early. What is so difficult to understand? The other thing is they have been dealing with me the whole week with my husbands consent including on email, but today again they can't deal with me telephonically, as I'm not the account holder. Then they want us to complete a 3rd Party form with lots of private information that can be misused. Do you not understand Marquis Finance, we want to end the relationship not provide you more information? This is ridiculous and is being taken to the Banking Ombuds (NFO)

Poor administration and service delivery

I am financed with marquis finance and the administration of this finance company is disorganised. At time i think they do it intentionally. I purchased my vehicle in 2022, my debit order date is the 25th and I had never missed a payment. In December 2024, they did not debit my account. When I noticed on the 29th that they had stilled not debited. I tried to contact them without success. It came to the end of the month and still my December in installment was not debited. I waited and left the money in the my account hoping that they will call, or double debit me in the month of January 2025. But they never did!! Calling them was not successful so I just waited them to call me since I cannot reach them. THEY NEVER DID! then suddenly, I received a double debit in the month of March. Without any warning whatsoever, I requested to make an arrangement of R1000 extra over and above my normal installment, they agreed. However they only did that for one month, the following they did not. I do not know what else to do anymore.

Terrible service and no response to emails

I have an account with this service provider account number **********. Every time I have service request it takes more than weeks before it is attended to, I call and call and call. Every time i am given a different number to call and told someone will call me back. On the 9th April I called to request a settlement letter and forms to complete to sell the vehicle, I was told they would send it to me, I folloed up again the next day and Nothing. I called again Monday 14th April to be told I must send an email to another department which would respond within 72 hours, I have called and called post the 72 hours and it's pillar to post. I get given different numbers each time. There is no help available in the whatsapp line, the online portal is not working.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Changed my banking details in the beginning of the month, since then I've been struggling for 3 weeks just to get a Debicheck Mandate sent to my new account? Received one on the old account which I rejected. I've phoned multiple times & then everytime customer service says no it will be sent today or tomorrow & then nothing then I have to phone again & still nothing. When I phone now I get transfered to the collections department as they are supposedly the one's that needs to assist with the Debicheck but they never answer the phone you hold the line for 10-15minutes & nothing & no one ever phones you back. How is it that other companies can send the mandate immediatly but with Marquis it takes 3 weeks?

Shocking customer care service

Shocking customer service. When I try and call Marquis finance back it just gets cut off. Nompumelelo sent me an email on the 12 April to advise about my account, which I then rep**** but had no response back, the following week 18th April 2025, I get the same email from another employee Thandi at Marquis stating exactly the same as what Nompumelelo has sent. How does one even resolve an issue like this if you can’t even get the communication system right. The customer service is shocking here. They’ve done a change over with systems however I seem to think this was a take over with the actual bank and debit orders were not taken off by Marquis on the agreed date, now they want to accuse the client of being in arrears when I’ve been trying to contact them back. Bad bad service

I am never able to get hold of someone and no one replies to my logged queries or emails. For some reason my account is in arrears but no one sends me any information to figure out the issue or why it’s happened. The amount on my monthly statement is different to what they debit my account which is obviously why they say there’s an amount in arrears but no one gets back to any of my emails and I don’t know who to call. I tried to move my due date but again my multiple logged queries and emails never get attended too. I feel like marquis takes full advantage of consumers. Initially when I bought the car with Koos and Mike dealership I was not informed that my bank would change from Wesbank to Marquis and my interest rate hicked up which is insane after having such a good rate for many years. They are not easy to work with and I’m trying to find a way to move to a different finance house yet that’s also difficult because they never respond to me!

A one star rating would be too much when it comes to the after-sales service and support of the Marquis Finance Team. I will do my level best not do give them any business in the future. I have been communicating with them back and forth for more than a month and nothing has been resolved. My advice to anyone considering using marquis to steer clear from them. Poor business ethic from staff and poor after-sales service as well. Multiple requests were sent through the portal as well as through email. The result of Marquis' incompetence has cost extra in bank charges and interest even though the debit order failure came from their end. A company will not respond to customer complaints or queries if they doing ********* business practices.

ACCOUNT DEBIT, SYSTEM FAILURE

I'm actually rating it negative zero... It's just that there's no option for that... 2 months ago they did not debit their money from my account as per agreement. Days passed without them debiting... I called to find out what was the reason for them not to debit the money, the response was that their system had a problem and they would call to discuss a payment plan since their system had a problem. 2 days later I received a call from their lawyers to say that I have been handed over and I was shocked because I am the one who called to find out what was the reason for them not to take the money but now suddenly I'm the one who's been handed over to the lawyers. Again I call and ask if is this how they work... They told me that they are even surprised that I got a call from the lawyers since an account can only be handed over after 3 months of not paying of which in this case it was not even my fault that they didn't debit the money, I am not responsible for their system having problems... So the person that helped me then then told me that I can settle the money in 2 months... The account had been in arrears and I told them that I am not going to pay for the arrears since I am not the one who actually caused this whole thing... Surprisingly the money keeps on increasing and now they are nolonger reachable on the phone... Now I want to understand, how did it happen that Marquis finance did not debit and I call to find out the problem only to be told that their system had a problem, called by the lawyers a few days later to say I have handed over and now I keep on getting emails to say my account is in arrears even after I settled the money and it was not my fault from the first place because I have nothing to do with systems having problems... Use them for financing anything at your own risk... Not a good company I must say... Very nonsensical

One Star is overrating MQ Finance

To give this finance institute one star is to be generous! Trying to get through to anyone who can help has taken me over a week of multiple emails, multiple calls, and continued WhatsApps attempts - still no joy. I settled my account and got charged another monthly instalment so I am over 4K down, and I have not received any ownership papers. So I cannot sell my vehicle that I have placed in AutoTrader at a cost - the most frustrating experience ever and shocking service from an *********** company. AVOID!

Absolutely Terrible Experience with Marquis - Still Debiting Me After Full Settlement!

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Marquis and their shockingly poor handling of my car finance account. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and has left me feeling completely disregarded. I recently fully settled my car finance agreement with Marquis and received confirmation that my account was closed. Imagine my dismay when I noticed that they are still debiting my account for a "Shortfall Cover" policy. This is completely unacceptable and frankly, feels like a blatant attempt to continue extracting money from me after our financial agreement has concluded. What makes this situation even more infuriating is that Marquis used a third-party company as the service provider for this Shortfall Cover. While I understand the concept of outsourcing, Marquis provided this service as part of my finance agreement. Therefore, I reasonably expected them to be able to manage the cancellation of this cover upon full settlement. However, when I contacted Marquis to rectify this unauthorized debit, I was met with a wall of indifference and buck-passing. They claim they cannot assist with canceling the Shortfall Cover and directed me to contact the third-party company directly - best part of it all, they do not even know which third-party company it was taken with. This is completely unacceptable! I entered into a finance agreement with Marquis, and they are the ones who facilitated this Shortfall Cover. It is their responsibility to ensure all associated services are terminated when the primary agreement is fulfilled. This situation has caused me unnecessary stress, wasted my time, and is costing me money for a service I no longer require and should not be paying for. Marquis's inability or unwillingness to resolve this issue demonstrates a severe lack of customer service and a complete disregard for their clients once they believe they have received all their payments. I strongly advise anyone considering car finance to steer clear of Marquis. Their post-settlement handling is appalling, and their inability to take responsibility for services they facilitated is deeply concerning. I am now forced to spend even more time and effort trying to resolve this issue with a third-party company due to Marquis's incompetence. This is not how you treat customers who have fulfilled their financial obligations. Marquis, you need to take responsibility and immediately cease these unauthorized debits and ensure the cancellation of this Shortfall Cover. I will be taking further action to ensure this is resolved and to prevent this from happening to others. My advice to others - take your business elsewhere. It is not worth dealing with Marquis.

They will call you when they want to tell you a warntee you never knew about had expired and their offering you a new one. I do not know where to start. I am having problems with them since 2024. Double payments being deducted without refunding me. Suddenly deducting from my old bank account. Every time I respond on an e mail of them, someone else responds with a completely different story. Their customer service is completely non-existent—nobody responds to emails, whether you contact their general inbox, individual employees, or even their info/test email addresses. Calls go unanswered, making it impossible to get any assistance. I have fully paid off my account, yet they are refusing (or failing) to update my status with the credit bureaus, which is negatively impacting my credit score. I have sent multiple emails and attempted to follow up numerous times, but Marquis Finance remains completely unresponsive. This level of service is unacceptable for a financial institution. If you are considering using them for financing, think twice. I would not recommend Marquis Finance to anyone!

Ripping the hell out of us

I bought a car in May 2024 Haval at haval the glen. I am paying well every month though their instalment is very high. Its scary. My problem is, yiu cant get hold of these guys.they don't even post their adress so that we can physically go to them like other institutions. Now out of the blue they sent me a new de*****eck mandate which i mistakenly accepted. Imagine it says total collection for this March month will be R9365.35 for Haval Jolion 1.5 city. 💔💔 😭 I cnt get hold of them to get clarity. Im even thinking of returning their car and save their instalments including insurance money for 10 months and buy a car cash. New second hand. Ill use old mutual insurance on it.. Standard Bank and Marquis Finance.

It's worries me that Standard Bank is in partnership in some form or other, with a company like Marquis Finance, (Standard Bank..don't you do background checks of companies you do continuos business with?..or you don't care).. Marquis Finance is so "clever" in making money out of clients ...it is " extremely slow on purpose" to respond to any issues.the longer they take..if they respond..the more interest they acquire. obviously the dealerships get kick backs for recommending them to buyers....this is MY opinion and MY experience. Worst service ever!!!!!!!!!

On the 08 November I bought a car financed by Marquis Finance. On the 08 January I returned the car cause it had lots of technical issues. Been in communication with marquis finance and they advised me to send an email to their complaints department on 21 January 2025, till now no communication from them. They have been deducting end of January and end of February. I'm paying for a car I'm no longer in position of. I can't get afford to get another car cause of these deduction. I was speaking to a guy who I signed the paperwork with. He promised to help me since beginning of January till today. Now his ignoring my calls. When I call the callcenter they are always going to escalate the matter. No one giving me feedback.

Worst communication ever. Struggle to get communication from them. Horrible service. I have canceled an account with AA Warranties after they added R24 000 onto my exiting loan at Marquis Finance. AA Warrenties made a so called repaiment to Marquis Finance but they state that they did not receive the payments. I have settled my original loan amount but now I have and extra amount outstaning that is not accounted for. So far I have lost R1940. 76 and there is still R21 237.22 that will go off my account and build intrest for moeny that has been paid back to them. Do not use Marquis Finance for any finacing. POOR PERFORMACE AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION

I purchased a car from a dealership in October 2024, financing it through Marquis Finance. A week later, due to issues with the vehicle, we returned the car, and the dealer sold us a different one. We then reapp**** for financing with Marquis Finance. Since November 2024, Marquis Finance has incorrectly maintained two transactions under my name for the first car and the second, which is harming my credit record by showing that I am over debited. I have consistently reached out via email with no response. I spoke to a consultant five weeks ago who assured me that this would be resolved and the transactions would be removed from my name, yet there has been no progress or follow-up. I expect immediate action on this matter.

Pathetic

Ridiculous! I financed a vehicle on a fixed installment with Marquis Finance. I canceled my VAP warranty on my vehicle early 2024. Beginning of 2025 they added a VAP warranty to my vehicles fixed installment without my consent, I have confronted them on the matter and they have the nerve to tell me "my VAP is now inclusive with my vehicles installment instead of seperate debits". I CANCELED MY WARRANTY A YEAR AGO. I have laid complaints and called in several times for them sort out this mess and refund me back those unauthorized warranty debits, I have been told that my portfolio on their system shows reflects that it's been canceled and they have informed me several times that they have escalated the matter yet have failed to resolve the matter. I have been sending emails and have had no response from Marquis Finance. This has been going on for the last few months. Im really dissapointed as there are issues that needs to be resolved and no one is getting back to me. Im thinking of having my vehicle re-financed somewhere else to get better service. Customer service is really very bad and Im not over exagerating. **********

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had such a bad experience with this company, I have been trying to contact them for the past 2-3 weeks to make arrangements - To ask if they can freeze my payment for just 3 months and add it to an extended term, But no one is responding, no one answers the phones, I waste more airtime trying to contact these people, I have been with them since 2021 - and the 01st time contacting them regarding this, and no one can help me. Truly so so frustrating at this time!!!!!!!!!
