Double Debit

Good morning my name is Charlotte MoyoID number **********083. I spoke to Shanice Friday about a double debit that was done in my account. she promised to come back to me in an hour but never did. An amount of R1490.85 was deducted which was the correct amount then an amount of R1619.86. Please can I have a refund for this amount. I have been trying to get a hold of someone to help me but have not had a response since this morning, Not on your chatline, or e-mails. service is pathetic to say the least. You take people's money I think I am going to reach put to the ombudsman. I want my money.

I have been using the service since October. When I app**** in January, my application was declined. I app**** for R500 on February 28, and soon after, I began receiving emails and SMS messages stating that my account has been handed over to Landau. They called me, and I informed them that I do not have any outstanding balance of R2203, except for the R500 loan that is due on March 27 this month. I have been trying to call Primeloans but cannot get through, and my emails go unanswered. Even the chatbot has not responded. I am feeling very frustrated and disappointed.

I’ve never app**** for any loan especially not with a payday loan company. When I check on my credit profile, you’ve listed me as a customer. How was this loan approved without even contacting me. Your call center is designed not to accept calls from people and I’ve also sent 2 emails a month ago, still no reply. In 48 hours, I will be escalating this matter to the ombudsman

I am so happy that my issue got resolved efficiently after posting here on this platform. The efficiency I got was so amazing. The agent who took my call, whose name is Vuyo, was calm and empathetic, and I did not even have to wait longer than 20 minutes. They were returning calls and apologized profusely. Worried and scared Prime loans customer

I am not happy with Prime loans at all. I app**** with them last week friday accepted the debit order mandate, but nothing. I called them more than 20 times now. I sent countless emails to them. At first, for them to send me the madate an agent called Sinazo assisted me. She was efficient after her call got the link for the mandate accepted. Then, I called again and received no response; I would be on call waiting for the call to be picked up. After 3 minutes, the call would drop. On Monday, 02/03/2026, A Brent responded to my email said they are having technical issues. Their website has been down since Friday. The debit order mandate is active. Are they still in business? I am worried. I am actually literally freaking ourt can someone please help, advise please. I am sitting, not sure if I was ****med, approved for a loan, or they are really having an issue. I also went on their live chant sent them screenshots of the legging webiste no response. I find this very unproffessional and it is worrying me at this point. Gosh, I have their live debit order mandate with me that I can not dispute because they do not pick up.

NO STATEMENTS NO PAID UP LETTER

I am still waiting for my statement, As I have made a payment and Used my ID Number as the reference number as per the instruction on the settlement letter I received from PrimeLoans. It’s been 2 weeks now still no statements showing any outstanding amount.

Here I thought I was the only 1. Seems like most of us app**** on Friday. I sent a mail, no response. I was on their live chat today and was told money will be paid in by 8pm. Still nothing. Not a first time client but very dissapointed.

I’ve been taking loans from Primeloans monthly and paying on time On Friday 27 February 2026 my loan was paid up and I reapp****. I had an error during the application and since was unable to complete the application. I then tried contacting them on their support number without anyone answering and sent multiple emails to their accounts and support mail with no response. I also tried calling Lendplus which I believe works with them and they keep giving me the same number that doesn’t work. I left my number for someone to call me back since last week but no response.

Complete lack of communication - stuck on "Approval Pending" for days

I see there's many other similar complaints, and of course Prime Loans don't respond on any of them. Why would they? They didn't reply on the 10 or so emails I sent... They don't respond on their live chats, they don't have an option to speak to someone from the phone call options. I also app**** on the 27th February for a loan, which apparently was approved immediately, and they said must confirm debi check at Capitec, which I did immediately after. The Debi check was approved and does show on my app as approved. BUT, since last week Thursday when I log into my Prime account, it shows Debi check approval pending, and keep looping the whole time since Thursday up until today. They keep bombing me with sms and e-mail daily telling me to approve the Debi check (which was already done and confirmed on Thursday). Bit there's no way to communicate my problem described here. I once got a phonecall and thought it was a person, bit when I started explaining my problem I realised I am speaking tona programmed AI robot, not giving me an option to speak to someone amd jut dropping the call. I must have sent 10 e-mails, attempted about as much phone calls, completely finishing my cellphone air time, then I attempted to phone on a landline, but they just say I have to phone from the phone number I registered with. Which I can't because my attempts deleted my air time. When you call them, they give you 4 or 5 different options, none of which is to speak to an operator. So there's absolutely no way to communicate with these people and with an approved Debi check without any funds paid to me, I expect them to debit at the end of the month. There's also no way to cancel the loan, as whenever you log in it shows a looping pending image, of which I sent them several screenshots with my e-mails to a totally unresponsive email address. These people made very sure you can't contact them. I see they don't respond here at all so I just posted this complaint as a warning to prospective customers of the pathetic service. Beware: once you got some problems you can't speak to anyone amd your emails will conveniently be totally ignored. Horrible horrible inexistent customer service and communication. I never thought I'd said it, but they even worse than MTN and Cell C. I suggest also to put a review on Trust Pilot and all social media.

Account Debicheck Mandate Approved - No Payment

I accepted the Debicheck mandate on the 27th Feb and to date I have not received payment. I've made numerous attempts to call, email and use online chat to no avail. The online system keeps looping saying that its awaiting confirmation even though the mandate is active on my account. By far the worst service from this company. And to make matters worse I cannot cancel the debicheck unless I make contact with a company who has gone completely ghost.

I settled my loan on the 23rd January which was my current loan. When I wanted to borrow again, my account showed an active account for October which I had already settled. I have sent emails, tried calling with no assistance. I even stated in one email that they must please email me as I cannot always answer my phone while I am working. It's the 20/02/26 today and still no response. On my account it shows that I am 87daysin arrears but the balance is zero. This is inhibiting me from making another loan. I am so disappointed and cannot begin to explain how this has made me feel. The frustration and anxiety this has caused me. Basically they are saying I am in arrears but the balance is zero.

Even though I pay on time and have never defaulted, I am still offered repayment periods of only 11 to 16 days. This is unrealistic for salaried individuals who are paid monthly. Because of these short terms, customers are placed in a position where they cannot exit the loan cycle, and are forced to take another loan simply to manage repayments. This creates ongoing dependency rather than financial relief. If PrimeLoans values responsible lending, then longer and fairer repayment terms (at least 30 days) should be offered to customers with a proven payment history. A change is necessary to prevent customers from being trapped in repeat borrowing.

I am due a refund as I paid the loan off early, but my debit order also went off and I want my refund. Needless to say, good luck in getting through to them. Countless emails, not a single response or acknowledgement. Not sure what else to do?? It seems that they don't even respond on HelloPeter. Businesses like this need to be escalated to higher bodies. Going through all other reviews as well, there is seriously a big problem. Never will I use this company again, and I suggest if you are reading this, you shouldn't either. There are other more reputable options like FASTA, or Wonga etc. Save yourself the headaches and frustration.

Seems like nobody answers emails and when I call l, every agent said it's escalated and will reflect by 12 and I heard the same story every day since that day. i had a terrible experience with Prime loans. I made a payment towards my personal load and accidentally paid with an incorrect reference number which was for the previous month. I tried numerous times to be in contact with them via emails and contact to no avail. a couple of consultants called me to collect and i kept sending the same POP and said the same story and no one could get the amount allocated. Finaly today after a whole 3 months of struggles I was assisted by Zanele and within 30 min the matter was resolved. for once there is someone who knew what she was doing and i am thankful

I had app**** with Prime Loans and Lendplus, I was approved for both AND I approved both DebiCheck mandates for each loan. I only received one loan payment which indicated that it is from Lendplus. No payment received from Prime Loans. Multiple emails with my account statement has been forwarded with no feedback or response. The number also does not dial through. I have advised that if this matter is not resolved I will need to visit my branch and cancel the debicheck as I will not be paying for a loan that I have not received!!!

I always had the best things to say about prime loans. They were always helpful and kind. Today I did a reapplication and was just declined no explanation. I have never once missed a payment with them. And today they let me down did not even want to offer me a smaller amount nothing just and automatic voice when I called to find out why I was declined. Hello, I received a message from PrimeLoans approving my loan at 16:50 yesterday, but as of now, the funds have still not appeared in my account. I have repaid previous loans, my account details are correct, and I expected the transfer to happen within the advertised timeframe (minutes to a few hours). This delay of more than 20 hours is unacceptable. I have tried contacting PrimeLoans and my bank (Capitec) but still have no update. I am requesting immediate clarification and release of my funds. Please advise why this delay has occurred and ensure the money is deposited promptly. Thank you.

I app**** for a loan yesterday, got a debicheck to approve however I still have not received any money in my account. Also the funny thing is they want to debit my account on the 21st ? Who gets paid on the 21st when I initially requested the loan to be debited on my salary day. I don’t understand this and I feel like this company is a **** why should I have to pay an extra amount to further my repayment day it does not make sense. All in receiving is sms saying that you will debit my account on Friday 21 November but I have not received the loan that I have been approved for. I sent them an email to request the debit mandate date to be changed but no feedback it’s hard to reach out to their customer service that time there is an enquiry made on my credit profile.

After a very eventful morning, i decided to try Prime Loans again and was Assisted by Ayanda who was very professional, patient and helpful. We were on the phone for over 20 minutes trying to figure out what the problem was with my debi check mandate. She seemed very keen on assisting me and making sure i am sorted and that makes me happy and confident about the service provider now. she advised that i contact my bank which i did, and sure enough the bank was able to tell me what the issue is. i am currently awaiting for a call from Ayanda so we may process the loan as per the banks advise and see. I registered with Prime Loans and made an application on 01/11 online with their website.. Did application, submitted all documents and up until today it's stuck in "your application is under consideration" but they say the application takes 15 minutes. I tried emailing and also chat on the website chatbot but no answers at all from any agents. I even tried to call but no answer. I do want to cancel the application as I no longer feel this company is legit as to their service which is very poor. I am so disappointed in this company.

I app**** for a loan on the 30th of October. Everytime I get told to attach my statements and evertime I attached same and send via email. On Saturday the 1st of November I received the same message to state I should attach my statements. I then sent this from my work email to ensure they receive it. To date, I haven't received feedback. It seems like before their shift ends they give feedback but then I get told to attach a statement. I tried chatting with an agent on their online portal but you wait for ever with no feedback. Absolutely terrible service.

Double Charge - still no contact

I've been trying to contact Prime Loans on the number provided to now avail. I've emailed their accounts and support departments, yet to get a respond of any kind. Took out a loan and then paid it via a direct payment, however the debit order ran on my account for a second payment. Checked their settlement statement/letter and it confirms that they received 2 payments instead of 1. Don't understand why it's so difficult to get a hold of these people.

There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the funds not reflecting.

I want to mention that Indeed was frustrated at first with money not reflecting, but a lady just called in and pointed out the 24-hour period for clients. I think we should be more patient with money reflecting on accounts. I confidently give PrimeLoans a 5-star after having a good service from a lady who explained and, in fact, calmed me down. Received the funds. Thank you.

App**** for a loan end Sept. 2025. Due to an error, the funds was paid to e-wallet. I had difficulty accessing the funds. I spoke to an agent the Saturday and she informed me that the funds will have to be reversed but that i would be refunded the amount I app**** for. The funds were reveresed same day, same hour and i was told that it will take two weeks to refund my money. The Debicheck went off .They claimed their money back on pay day but two months later I've not been refunded as promised. All their contact numbers are unavailable. Doesn't even ring. I've tried many times to reach them but without success. I've sent them emails requesting my refund and no one to date has even attempted to reach out. These are a bunch of *******,liers and *****sters all of them. I will never recommend anyone to them. I want my money back.

Unacceptable Lack of Customer Support and Accessibility

Extremely disappointed by the ongoing lack of communication and accessibility from their support team. I’ve been waiting three weeks for a response to my email, and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no acknowledgment. The online chat service fails to connect customers to an agent, and the call system prevents anyone from reaching support unless they call from a registered number - a policy that makes it nearly impossible to get help when needed. For a company of their stature, this level of inaccessibility and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. I strongly urge management to review these systems and take immediate corrective action. Customers deserve better than to be ignored.

Expected more from an organization that brandishes itself on efficiency and good customer service department to say the least. Despite the approval, I never received the funds. I later discovered that the payout was reversed, but no explanation was provided and I received no communication from your side regarding this. Since then, I have tried contacting your team via calls and WhatsApp, but have received no response. This is extremely disappointing, as I had an approved loan, yet the payout failed due to an internal issue beyond my control. I would appreciate your urgent assistance in clarifying: What exactly happened to the approved payout. Proof that the funds were reversed and not released. Whether my loan approval can be reinstated or honored as initially approved. I have been trying to contact Prime Loans since yesterday morning as i belive there is someone on Facebook who is pretending to be their employee, this person claims to work for Prime loans and can asisst with obtaining a loan they collected mt payslips and bank statement and i approved a Debi Check. it has been 3 days no funds and when i log on their website is shows that i have an active loan it does not say for how much and i can not access my account as this person seemingly put their own details and chances are thy ahve received the money. i need someone to urgently phone me as i am busy opening a case with the police as this is *****.. now my problem is i have sent Prime Loans emails from yesterday non has been rep**** to and i can not get hold of them on any of their numbers listed on their website what kind of company is that? in the meantime they need to sort this as i will not pay for a loan i did not use or did not come to my account i have proof of this in teh form of a bank statement. i have tried everything to communicate with prime loans nothing on their end...
