Compare that to some short-term lenders charging 60% per annum or more, and Sa Taxi Finance's rate looks almost conservative. But interest rate is only one part of the picture.

That's the kind of number that tells you something consistent is going wrong, not just a few unhappy customers. After my last review on SA TAXI and our clients experience, Solomon Mpofu responded to me and we have been talking via email. He said he will get back to me regarding his legal team I have been emailing since the 4th of March and I have gotten no response till late. Like I said this company is questionable.
Refinancing
I finance a taxi for 4 years. This year January i app**** for refinancing and it was approved later they ask the documents but mine were incomplete. They said without letter of association and an operating license, I must return the taxi when I asked them to use the documents from the first application they said the dont have them. how? This is the worst company that i have ever dealt with in my entire life. It's been weeks waiting for this company to refund to my debt the amount they tried to **** and charge me for nothing and posing it as insurance while I am already being charged insurance

****** ****mer, never make a mistake of trusting them. I have been paying insurance for 2 Avanzas for more than 3 years but Today I have no car because I chose to trust these unreliable people. When I joined them there were options for your vehicle cover and I have chosen the one that doesn’t require PDP because I knew as much as these cars are working but they also gonna cater for Family and I don’t have PDP since am am not the one during the cars. Both cars were involved in an accident before and they never had a problem with pdp but all of a sudden now when they have to honour my claim they complaining about PDP, how is it an issue when I have been paying extra for a PDP not to be a problem?? It’s been 3 years now they are quite probably tired of lying. SA TAXI ****** me of my Children’s bread now I have no car no income whereas I have been paying without a fail. Ow forgot to mention how they changed the story of what happened at the scene and **** about a person dying from my car whereas both people that were there are Alive. Our clients taxi was hijacked in the year 2019 yet SA Taxi still wants to collect on the debt when the debt is more than 5 years old and by law that debt has prescribed. Bad Collections Agency
Hi, You guys gave MBD to do debt collection but they call and cut the calls after 10 seconds. You don't even get a chance to confirm your details, they just keep calling ask who they speaking and then cut the calls. So on their side it will show that they doing their jobs and they will say clients are not communicating. This is very bad on us their clients side as it will show we non compliant and those guys will get paid by SA Taxi for nothing. Please this is a major issue you guys need to resolve ASAP or do the collections yourself again!

Asanda Veronica Patience Solomon Pierre Armin thanks to all of you the beloved JY 31 PL was discontinued yesterday by provincial due to a massive oil leak n a whole lot of other issues you were all aware of n claimed it to be lies yet there was complaints from day 1 of purchasing your so called quality renewed taxi n there's enough evidence n records you still claim is lies yet can't prove it's lies when asked that you provide your so called evidence that you claim you have against us as lies. Mind you that bus didn't even reach 30000km from date of purchase in March 2021 till now n you refused to fix n sort out the major issues from day 1 of us complaining. You think a natis paper means anything n that you are in the clear you not you know what is about to happen n please don't come with more lies n stories as usual give your so called evidence n prove we are lying n not you cause we know who the ****s are hence your so called legal team that threatened us decided to run when I presented hard evidence to them that they couldn't even continue with their threats. You have no integrity n don't care about people's lives like you claim on your posts n pages it's all lies you rob people blind n leave widows n children hungry. Settlement amount not accurate
If there was no stars I would give this company a zero out of 5. I’ve been a faithful customer for 6 years. And now having problems with SA taxi. In August I’ve ask a settlement amount and it was given I was also paid In advance from August to October I’ve made payments and still I’m in advance but the settlement amount is Almost the same as in August like does it make sense. Not even customer service could give me proper explanation on this basic math situation,the one department sends you to another department. Now it’s a AI problem 😱🙈🤦🏻♀️I will not recommend you guys to anyone I know.

Sa taxi is the biggest ****s they lack integrity n credibility. I posted on their sa taxi n mobalyz pages nothing but the truth as I have the proof of what I posted yet sa taxi/mobalyz claimed it was lies even though Pierre bruwer n Armin Philipps had a view up close of everything I posted on their pages n even pretended to be disgusting but it was all an act. They still smooth talked me trying to stop me from continuing the legal route by offering me R40,000 as a so called gesture of good faith which I have on record yet we spent over R40,000 from day one of purchasing the beloved JY 31 PL GP n made known to them which they claim there's no records of our complaints yet I have all the records but it's nothing strange or new as sa taxi is known for getting rid off evidence so they can't be held accountable for their ********* underhand way of doing business. Unfortunately for them I'm not one you can spin wool over the eyes n think you can get away with it. Sa taxi/mobalyz tried to shut me up by giving us the natis paper n writing the so called outstanding amount off yet the bus was not even worth a R100k to begin with. The very beloved JY 31 PL exceeded it's kilometers n they reversed it from 2021 when the bus was purchased till date it didn't even do 30,000kms cause it's problem after problem sa taxi conveniently ignored n claim we never complained. To top it all Armin Philipps went to our association introducing himself as the CEO of sa taxi to complain about me saying I'm a non member spreading lies on social media n defaming their company he asked our association board to tell me to remove whatever I wrote on social media yet he couldn't answer any single question asked by the office not knowing our office was well aware of my case with them n knew I was not lying about anything posted. Armin Philipps so called CEO as he introduced himself to our office even promised to return our treasurer's bus they ********ly repossessed which is also on record in exchange for me to delete everything I posted to date the bus has not been returned. Armin Philipps Pierre bruwer n sa taxi/mobalyz then decided to go to mcroberts attorneys to draft a letter telling me I have 7 days to remove all my reviews on hello Peter n all the social media posts as it's lies n they will sue me for defamation of character. I didn't remove anything as it's not lies or fabricated in any way unlike sa taxi I stand for truth n what's right sa taxi only care about money not people's lives they rob widows by repossessing buses claiming it was in arrears when it's not then they claim from guard risk n resell the buses not paying out the widows what's due to them which I also have records of sa taxi changes installments every month that's how people end up in arrears. Biggest Taxi ****mers and rude customer service
Sa taxi is the biggest **** ever, people should stay away from buying taxis from them, I don't even want to start in the customer service, thier agents are very rude and disrespectful they take advantage of the our parents as most of thier customer are senior citizens. My parent's health has deteriorated due the inconsistencies and mishandling of payments they make monthly at SA Taxi, they have already paid more that R1,2 million at SA Taxi, when you request a statement thier rude agents send you from pillar to post.we made arrangements in May to pay off the balance which was R207,000, as of 19 August we have paid about R113,000 and the repossessed the taxi yesterday, thier statement only shows that we paid R92,000 and still thier balance even went up it says now we owing R249,000 , yesterday I provided all the receipts and they said , we have to pay the towing fee,legal fee and 2 months instalment, they come up with a huge amount knowing that you might not be able to come up with that amount and lose the taxi, This business needs to shut down it's killing our parents 😔 it's sad watching your parents go through this while dealing with rude agents that don't care. SA Taxi is killing our parents 😔
Never buying from this company ever
Few weeks ago our taxi got reposesed buy sa taxi, soon as we got there we were being told to pay 60k...when we requested the statement they were giving us all the runn arounds, never mind the bad attitude we were getting... Later on our lawyer was able to get the statements for us ony to find out that some of the amounts we had paid were not appearing and at some places we would pay 20k upwards and then on the statements only 14k would appear and the arrears where infact increasing instead of decreasing, when we try contacting them again regarding the matter they keep saying they'll call/get back to us but they never did till this day.... And this is not the first time I'm being ****med by SA TAXI I even had a threat from another employee there about making sure that he'll have my car taken away I just so wish that 1day SARS and other and/other parties would look into this ****ming business of yours... and just know that at this point I'm willing to fight this in court even if it's the last thing I'll do

We purchased a quantum in 2020 by them however with covid we went through struggles to pay the van eventually my husband got it right to pay what we owed them to get straight he phoned say said we not longer in arrears mind you they don't send statemmet so we don't know how far we are nothing! Bottom line they added an extra years to our 60 months which mean we paying 8 years on our quantum . the worst part is that my husband has been paying extra on account and as of now he is having a credit balance of 140 000 plus on the account but when he wants to settle he is being told that he owes 120 000. When we questioned them they gave us a runaround telling us that our account is with legal so they still have to calculate legal fees of which that was the first time we heard of the thing that our account has been handed over to legal. Our contract stipulates that the end time of the account is March 2025 and my husband tried to cover even for the Covid months they were given. how can 3 to 6 months of covid relief accumulate to almost three years even if the customer is paying. Even with the first taxi we settled we encountered the same problem but ended up paying but this time hay this is too much.
Unfair Dangerous Taxi driver
Good day Today around 3 o'clock on the Moloto road close to Zambezi, one of the taxi drivers came and passed me on the yellow lane, he drove next to me and he took out something hard and through it against my car window and drove off! He had a yellow shirt with a red hat on. Why?? Why did he had a need to that? For what reason? And with a taxi full of passengers? I am women alone in the car and I got a fright cause I thought it was a gun that he was taking out!! This is so dangerous and unfair for other people on the road. This needs to change.
S.A Taxi empty promises
I finished paying for my taxi on the 6-6-25 but till today the account is still active and as a result I can't get my log book. They post me from pillar to pillar with fruitless promises and lies. My life is on a stand still deliberately.
For the love of the JY 31 to SA Taxi
In March of 2021 I bought a Toyota Quantum for my wife as a birthday present,and she was over the moon with her gift,to generate an income the bus worked, during the late night drive from Midrand on the 26th of March we left Midrand at 22h00 first thing I noticed was the headlights one was very bright the other dim since my wife was driving behind me coming home and she was driving behind me with a 3year old and a friend of mine,we got to Brakpan and they told me that the heater in the new bus wasn't working and that there was a draft of cold air coming from somewhere I blew it off thinking that maybe they didn't know how to close the windows properly of didn't know how to operate the heater,we got to a BP on Springs road and we bought pies for the kids, starting up from the Bp to go home the bus stalled and the battery seemed dead,I checked the terminals and found them in a poor condition, tried a few tricks because I am a mechanic and it started we went home and tried to lock the bus but the central lock didn't work,by now the wife was a bit irritated but I still said it's minor things little did I know that that was a start of a problem got the little thingdms sorted but the malfunction light started to flash we drove the bus back to Midrand and told them the team plugged the bus into a diagnosis machine and pushed a vacuum pipe from behind the oil filter and the light was gone the irritated wife tried to bring up all the other issues but we were told that a favour was made for us and that we had to book the bus in and I asked my wife to do the booking till date it wasn't booked,6 months down the line the clutch gave in,I bought a Rep/Luk clutch kit and because it cost 5.5k I installed it myself to be able to pay the installment for the month,the sliding door mechanism started giving problems only to find that the parts used were of a very poor quality though the bus was said to be better than a new bus,the clutch kit I got with the bus was a no name brand,the alternator died took it in and I was advised to get a proper d4d alternator as the one I had was that of an Avanza meantime oill leaks started developing and with the constant breakdowns my clients fleed to a fresh new Quantum,we fought SA Taxi to a point that we were given ownership of the bus and offered 120k to fix the bus The papers were given but my legal team and wife I instructed to hold off on the pending case and from the 6 of June till now no payment was received meeting after meeting,I feel that I should tow the so called paid up Taxi to Midrand drop it at their gate(since Quantum don't enter their yard)and persue this case because going on hello Peter I read only bad reviews and the management **** and **** again I am very disappointed with this company and how does my family think of me for buying a s**** that doesn't work for my wife, when the trouble started my little boy once said "Daddy they ****** you with the JY"please don't respond to this SA Taxi and lie to me and the public on this platform but if a truck delivers JY31 on your gate know that it is my bus and I love it but love is proved in the letting go.NB I'm in the Taxi business and know a lot of little English speaking people who can't complain
Sa taxi must be exposed
Sa taxi think people are fools and that they can do as they please whenever. They are selling lies as far as their so called quality renewed second hand taxis are concerned yet selling it very high prices cause they claim it's as good as new. Nothing on those taxis are new it's rebuilts most of it cut and joined engines is not standard kilometres reversed and it's a definite guarentee the engine will give in before you even own that taxi a year. Most of the taxis they rebuild is not roadworthy to even pass a roadworthy test yet it mysteriously pass the test without the bus physically being tested. When you buy a taxi and it's still under warranty and you encounter problems they ignore you point blank but when it comes to installments they know how to remind and harrass you. They are quick to repossess or force you to voluntary surrender your taxi but when you have problems with your taxi they are deaf. Sa taxi sells a lot of lies which I can prove even though they removed the posts after it was mentioned just like they removed their video of the quality renewed taxis saying they only use new quality original parts which is also a lie they use cheap and second hand parts which one of their senior managers let slip after the video regarding the parts was brought up and removed. Sa taxi also do people in via insurance claims. Sa taxi don't care about the public or owners as long as they make money they are happy most taxi accidents is those second hand so called quality renewed taxis from sa taxi where the roadworthy was done back door. If anyone ever had or still have issues that was not solved or you just gave up because sa taxi always find ways to make people give up let me tell you don't give up there's hope your voices will be heard your pain will be seen you will get justice for being done in by sa taxi. sa taxi will not silence you sa taxi will not repo or force you to surrender your taxi. Sa taxi has no idea what integrity credibility or honesty mean. They are the biggest *******s in the motor dealership industry and many in the taxi industry have fallen victim to them. They are fast to repossess a taxi when someone pass away and lie that the taxi was in arrears when it was up to date then they claim from the insurance guard risk and when caught out they want to shut the victims up with rebuilt so called quality renewed taxis with reversed kilometres and when the victims refuse the ******* and prove they did insurance ***** they shut them up fast by paying the actual monies guard risk paid them out to avoid the victims exposing them. Sa taxi sold us a taxi that was not even supposed to be on the road let alone pass a roadworthy test which we have the full history and evidence of sa taxi paying bribes for faulty taxis to pass a roadworthy test. From the very first day we purchased our taxi we had endless problems which sa taxi was informed about and always gave excuses of their workshop being too full they will call to book our taxi from 2021 till date they are still calling. Sa taxi sells so called quality renewed ******* taxis for R20k less than brand new taxis which is far older models they use the cheapest after market parts and engines are not standard. The doors is not original most of their so called quality renewed taxis have welded suspensions fully braised floors with some holes not even closed their so called quality renewed taxis roofs starts cracking within 3 months engine gearbox issues yet it's supposed to be good as new. Sa taxi don't care about people but money and doesn't care if their ******* is unroadworthy or can kill innocent people as long as they get their money. As soon as you get a breakdown and struggle to fix the ******* they push the client to voluntary surrender the taxi or they repo yet the engine has insurance to get fixed or replaced but they still repossess cause they find a way to decline a claim.Anyone that have been done in and ****** by sa taxi feel free to contact me no one should be ****** of their hard earned money by sa taxi nor should a death of a taxi owner end up in repossession especially their widows that's not clued up with the taxi industry. After having been rear-ended by an honest and accountable taxi, I am now being given the run-around by his insurance who are just refusing to process my claim, I am at my wits end since I was told they are not going to even allocate my claim to a handler without first assessing their client’s taxi, even though he has advised them countless times that he has opted to repair the taxi himself and only claim for me as a third party, this is my first claim as a third party, whilst I understand the Delictual principles and validations behind this process, SA Taxi is just doing their best to delay, frustrate and under-cut me as a claim, at this point I can appreciate any advice or assistance on the matter. 🚨 SA Taxi’s Harassment Amid Estate Administration Is Unacceptable 🚨
What you do, do not do business with SA Taxi. I have never been harassed like this in my life—especially after losing a loved one. First, I have never spoken to such rude consultants. Their audacity baffles me every time. Their conduct is unprofessional and emotionally draining The estate account is open, all documents have been submitted, and we’ve been informed their debt cover is still in progress. Yet SA Taxi continues to hound us daily for payment, showing zero regard for legal estate processes. Complete disregard for estate law and basic respect. It feels like the consultants don’t understand—or choose to ignore—the fact that payment can only be made once the executor has sufficient funds and the legal liquidation-and‑distribution process is complete. The blatant disrespect is appalling. If you care about your family’s emotional well‑being, avoid SA Taxi unless you want your loved ones to be harassed every day until your estate is finally wound up.
Held on the line for over an hour – no response!
I’ve been trying to reach SA Taxi’s Legal Department via the number **********, and have now spent more than an hour on hold—with no answer, no callback, and no resolution. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially for an organisation that deals with legal and financial matters requiring urgency. I’ve made multiple attempts over several days, and each time I’ve either been left on hold indefinitely or cut off entirely. Clients deserve better communication and respect for their time. Please escalate this complaint and improve the accessibility of your Legal Department urgently. Frustrated and disappointed.

I have been try to get hold of SA development... but no luck, thy put u on hold the whole day, I don't have any accounts with SA TAXI and I wanted them to remove their account from my credit report... because I am struggling to get hold of them and I went to their offices in midrand but still no one cared to help..

This is my 3rd review regarding SA TAXI Finance And I am really really disappointed and discussed about this company. On the 21 of May they insisted that I must come to take a taxi that they got for me after *******ly after repossessing it *******ly insurance has payed they the amount of R56143.04 and they gave me an old taxi which they fixed so it can look new to my eyes. I went to dealership in Midrend since am no longer in taxi industry my late husband was the one running the business that's where I found out the taxi has been fixed and resprayed. I called Mr Solomon Mpofu and informed him about this and I asked Mr Solomon to take it back and give me money because no dealership wants to buy this taxi if it was that good as they said it would have been sold by now. I was stuck in Midrend with no food to eat and no place to sleep and left my kids with neighbors in Eastern Cape with neighbors thinking that the would have been sold in Midrend so I can be able to go back home. I called Mr Solomon Mpofu and informed him about this case he insisted that I must go back to Eastern with it and I didn't have money to go back home so I drove back with their old Vehicle which they gave me. The old vehicle they gave me the lights went off on the way back we had to drive with bright lights which was a risk to other drivers. And they told me the market value of this old vehicle they gave me with a reversed Milliage and had no service book and am now in Eastern Cape trying to sell the car no dealership wants to car. SA TAXI FINACE PLZ GIVE ME MY MONEY AND TAKE YOUR CAR . they told me to go back to Eastern with it and I also agreed because I had no money to go back to Eastern Cape No food to eat No place to stay and no one even cared to ask since I have been giving them reports. Disgusted by SA taxi finance
We purchased a quantum in 2020 by them however with covid we went through struggles to pay the van eventually my husband got it right to pay what we owed them to get straight he phoned say said we not longer in arrears mind you they don't send statemmet so we don't know how far we are nothing! Bottom line they said they sent us an email adding an extra 3 years to our 6 years which mean we paying 10nyears on our quantum but we never received no sms.!! Just thinking everytime makes my blood boil why don't they send us monthly statements? And why would a sms be legal to send a customers aren't you suppose to send a legal document stating u adding another 3 years to the payment plan and then the customer needs to sign if he or she agrees? And why tell us we not in arrears when they knew we were still? Cause we were trying to get straight with our payments? Why make people's financial life so difficult? Why are they so secretive send bank statements to your customer!!! Just thinking I should've been done next year with my van now I have another 3 years to pay makes my blood boil
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Poor customer service, I have being requesting a paid up letter several times and they always promise to email the letter to me and this never happened. Call center number is unanswered most of the time ; it gets answered by luck. What could be difficult in writing a paid up letter instantly?
I am mistreat by SA TAXI FINANCE
I am really disappointed at SA TAXI Finance and how they treat people. A month ago I wrote about SA TAXI Finance how they mistreat me after the death of my husband,they went into my businesses and repossesse a taxi which was bought by my late husband from them,that happened on the 5th of December 2024 and it's now 1year 4 months since they kept the taxi in their storage they also took the other taxi documents demanding that I must pay R14000 from each taxi. Now since I have wrote a review here they payed the funeral benefit which was supposed to be paid. On the 16th of this month April 2025 they called and told me that the insurance has payed for the taxi and the other documents have been released and I must go to their storage in Durban to collect my taxi which they repossessed in Eastern Cape. My question to them how will I use a car which was standing in storage for a year and 4months second what about the loss of income because I was doing business with the vehicle and they told me they don't cover loss of income and they also won't pay for me to go to Durban and collect the vehicle I must go collect on my expense. How do I use a vehicle which was standing for that long 🤔

Complaint regarding vehicle purchase and no resolution
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have received from SA Taxi regarding the purchase of my Quantum vehicle in July 2024. Since acquiring the vehicle, I have encountered significant issues, particularly a persistent loss of power that has rendered the vehicle unreliable. Despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle repaired, the problem remains unresolved. I was promised an asset swap, which has yet to materialize. I once attempted to make a payment arrangement, however the only thing that I received was a reference number nothing thereafter. The only thing that i received was a reference number, with no further follow-up. Recently, I was visited by a sheriff at my home, who advised me to liaise with SA taxi legal team. After explaining my situation to them, they realized who was at fault hence they referred the matter back to SA Taxi, which has only added to my frustration. Instead of addressing the failure to replace my vehicle, I was presented with a document titled 'Voluntary Surrender,' which I have no interest in signing. Furthermore, I have experienced significant difficulty in communicating with the staff, who seem to avoid email correspondence. When I requested to speak with a senior manager, I was directed to write to the complaints department. I submitted my complaint over two weeks ago and have yet to receive a response. The lack of cohesion between departments and the absence of effective communication is unacceptable. I am left feeling ignored and without recourse. A number of colleagues from our taxi association have fallen victim of this inefficiency and I think it is high time we collectively bring our grievances or disassociate ourselves.

My name is Tsholofelo. Last year December I had a car accident, was hit by a taxi driver head on collision and my car is beyond repair. In February I received a call from Sa Taxi as the taxi driver is insured by them. I made a third party claim and I did send all the necessary documents they requested from me. Including my car pics. 2 weeks ago, I got an email from them, advising me that their client's claim (Taxi driver) has been declined and that makes my third party claim to be automatically declined. They said that the taxi driver somehow didn't do things accordingly at the time of his claim, like he didn't claim on the same day of the accident. So my question to then was: Why is that affecting my claim as a third party, cos there's nothing wrong that I did. I then requested to speak to their manager and I was told that the manager is currently on leave, & there's no 1 to assist me in their absence, so I must just redirect my claim to a taxi driver. I asked them to send me a blank third party policy document, and the lady that I spoke to, said no she can't send it to me because I am not their client. I'm willing to take SA TAXI to court, I also feel that SA TAXI is taking advantage of the taxi driver because they think he doesn't have a broad knowledge when it comes to Insurance. I have also read other people's SA TAXI reviews after making a third party claim, and they were all bad. SA TAXI is *********** our fellow South Africans. I'm willing to go as far as telling my story to SABC & all social media platforms. Investigations has to be done at SA TAXI.

It's almost 2 weeks now since I have sent my review about SA TAXI Finance here they responded and promised to get back to me till today they never responded or took any of my details SA TAXI Finance took my husband bus after he died with accident and they told me he was supposed to finish 6 months for the cover to be active and I haven't received my husband death benefits they also took all the car documents said I must pay R14000 from each taxi for me to get the documents, They drop my calls everytime I call them .

@Solomon Mphofu, kindly ensure your team addresses claim SAT338305 for Mr ST Baloyi with urgency and seriousness the claim process and experience has been poorly managed by your team.. This needs to be rectified with little to no delay!

Well my father was a taxi owner and had bought the taxi at sataxi and he took insurance that would payout the taxi even in the cause of death , unfortunately he passed on last year in 14 January 2024,we noticed sataxi about my father death they told us to submit documents to them and they noticed us that and investigation will be done and once the insurance company approves the investigation then only they will pay the balance of the taxi installments,we where informed telephonically by the lady who was assisting us with the claim not to pay the installment for the taxi from the time my dad passed on cause his account will be frozen.
